As the months came went and seasons changed, the kids got bigger and moved on with life under Cain's watch.

Haise was now seven years old and Kei was nearing his two year mark. Cain was proud.

Not only had he been raising the boys, but he'd also helped them move on from Hei who'd walked out on them like it was nothing.

Whatever, who needed another Ellie around? He could do this solo. He'd lost a lover but gained a son.

"Papa!!"

Cain looked up from his book as his eldest child ran into the room and handed him a few envelopes.

"One's addressed to me. Do you think it's...you know?"

"If it's something from your father then your handle it. I don't care anymore."

The mere thought of Hei made him sick to his stomach. God he hated that man.

Kei toddled into the room and pointed at the envelope.

"Mine?"

Haise giggled and handed it to him.

"Sure, rip it up. Who needs him?"

Kei squealed and tore the envelope and its contents to shreds while Haise and Cain watched with amusement in their eyes.

Meanwhile in Tokyo, Hei stood atop a roof overlooking a building containing his targets.

Sure there were other scumbags there but he only cared about two, Dr.Tallone and her assistant Yuno.

The good doctor was responsible for all the torture he endured and for making him the way that he was. He needed to know if he could reverse it and finally kill Fox.

"Fox this is Spider, what's your position?"

"Laila, you and I both know I'm in position. Worry about Yuki and the rest."

"Awww you're no fun when you don't play along."

"No one's playing."

"You aren't."

"Just focus on the mission. We only get one shot at this. Tallone doesnt come out that often so you know this is a once in a lifetime opportunity."

Hei exhaled as he lifted his binoculars  and noticed staring back at him and waving. Shit.

Hei ducked just in time as he was attacked from the back with a large machete.

He pulled out his blade and matched his assailant blow for blow before he tripped him and made him fall off the building.

"Spider!! Monkey!! Rabbit!! She's onto us, prepare for combat!!"

Hei ran towards Rabbit's position since he was the closest and found him being subdued by a larger male.

"NO!!"

He ran over to the man and stabbed him in both his eyes before slitting his throat.

Rabbit wearily sat up as Hei removed his mask to reveal his face.

"Yuki, come on stay with me little brother."

"Ha! You haven't called me that in years."

"Tch, haven't had a reason to. You okay?"

"Yeah I should be. You?"

"Well I'm not you so that's great."

"Oh fuck you."

As he helped him up, he noticed there was rocket heading their way at high speed.

"DAMMIT!!"

"OH SHIT!!"

They tried to move out of the way, but it was too late. The explosion caused them to be knocked several feet into the air and sent Hei's mind to a world of darkness.

When he started to come to, Yuno was  on Yuki's unconscious body smiling at him.

He tried to get up but found it hard to do so with all the pain in his body. That's when he saw her.

Looking down at the all the people in the busy streets of Tokyo, Doctor Trill Tallone smirked and spit.

"Vermin. No, they're less than that. They're weak, at least vermin know how to survive. You sure did didn't you my dear Hei?"

"Tallone...you bitch..."

"Well that's just rude."

Yuno hopped up off of Yuki and used her foot to roll Hei over onto his back while Tallone walked over to him.

"Tell me, why are you and all of my ex guinea pigs here? What did you hope to accomplish?"

"We wanted...to know why. And how we can undo what you've done to us."

"Done to you? You mean done for you. Thanks to me, your bodies have gone beyond the normal limits of regular people and are at the peak of physical condition. You should be thanking be but instead you just want to make your pain go away. Boo hoo son whimper. So childish, you fail the genius behind your perfection. Now Fox on the other hand, he gets me."

Hei snarled at the mention of his alternate personality. He hated Fox more than he hated Tallone and Yuno.

"It's actually great that you're here though, saves me the trouble of tracking you down."

"What the hell could you possibly want with me?"

She reached into her jacket and pulled out a photo that showed Haise, Kei, and Cain.

"I'll have my fox, one way or the other. If you want to do something then you'd best hurry home. Who knows what could happen?"

Hei jumped up but found himself kicked into Yuki by Yuno who just smirked at him before following her boss.

As Spider and Monkey made their way over to them, Hei was already forming a plan in his mind to save his family.

It was only a six hour flight back but by the he'd arrived, it was too late. He'd returned home and found it burned to the ground and was told that everyone inside it had died. His man. His son. His baby. They were all gone.

As he stood in front of their fresh graves, Yuki radioed him that someone was approaching from behind him. Tallone, right on schedule.

"You weren't fast enough. You were never fast enough. If I was still in charge of you, I'd have you thrown in the hole."

"...And you still wouldn't have Fox. In the end, I always end up the victor."

"You're right and the only cost was your family. Have a good Hei, and stay out of my affairs."

When she was gone, he headed back to Yuki's position and slipped in the black sedan he was driving.

They rode for hours until they came across a giant driveway that led them to a fancy home built into a cliff.

They exited the car and Spider and Monkey, aka Laila and Silver both greeted them with gloomy expressions.

"Your kids are loud man."

"Shut them the fuck uuuuuuup."

"Heh heh, I got this."

Hei walked into the foyer and was greeted by the sight of Rainn and Cain talking while Haise and Kei played with her girls.

It was like time had stopped when he entered the room and no one could take their eyes off of him.

"Hei."

"Hei?!"

"Daddy?!"

"MAMA!!"

He chuckled, it was good to be home.
