"Rabbit, cover Spider!! Silver, watch your six. I SAID YOUR SIX YOU STUPID SON OF A BITCH!!"

Hei and his teammates were currently in a wooded area engaged in combat with an unseen enemy who'd attacked unexpectedly.

Yuki covered Laila and the two stood back to back while Silver who obviously wasn't doing what he was told, ran ahead of all of them only to be taken down immediately by a speeding bullet.

"Ow!! Hey, you sure he's using rubber rounds?"

"Tch, Cain end training session."

Cain emerged in camouflage gear, still holding the smoking gun he'd used to shoot Silver.

"Yes they're rubber. If they weren't, you'd be dead right now. Same goes for you Yuki and Laila."

"The fuck we do?!"

"What?!"

"Laila you rely too much on your eyes which is why your other senses are useless. Yuki your reaction time is too slow, you need to move using pure instinct alone and no thinking."

"THAT'S FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE."

"Hei can. I can."

As if on cue, the former couple aimed weapons at one another without even looking, both weapons pointed at something vital.

Silver snorted as he got up, "Of course the super couple can do it."

"We're not-"

"You're absolutely right, and it's because we trained ourselves to. You slacked off when our squad was disbanded and that's why you can't. So the next time you want to poke fun at the super couple and get shot down like a dog, remember it was your choice and negligence that led to your death."

Hei put his blade away and walked off back towards the house only to be followed by and stopped by Cain.

"What?"

"What was that?"

"He needed to hear that."

"Yeah but there was so much animosity. You don't talk to Yuki and Laila like that."

"Silver is a special case."

"How?"

"He's my ex."

Cain's brain started doing flips while Hei just stood there looking uninterested.

"Your ex?"

"Yes."

"Your ex is staying in the same house as me and our children?"

"Yes but more than an ex, he's a valuable teammate that can't be replaced."

"I don't know, don't you think this is kind of disrespectful? You've got your ex and myself living in the same home and you didn't think to tell me that?"

"Well hun, we aren't together anymore remember? That's what you were about to say back there right? So there's no problem."

"Hei I wasn't-"

"Save it. I'm going back, Kei should be waking up from his nap soon."

Hei walked away from him without a second thought, leaving Cain there with feelings of confusion, anger, and sadness.

Later on Hei and the kids were having some fun in the pool while Cain and Rainn were having a conversation in the kitchen.

Silver came in and excused himself while he grabbed a beer and headed back to his quarters.
