Cain sat back and cleaned his guns while Jay and Silver taught Haise the basics for using knives in combat and self defense.

It hadn't been an easy choice to make but for the good of the family he'd had  to make it.

Laila sat down next to him while cradling a sleeping Kei in her arms.

"Hey."

"Hey."

"You're uncomfortable."

"Who wouldn't be? My little boy is learning how to defend himself with weapons at a young age."

"He's not like Kei, he's much older and can handle himself better. Not to mention that his heart is hardened towards our enemies, he's extremely focused and...he's Hei's son. He's literally our one ace in the hole, our one chance to bring Hei back."

"Yeah I guess but that should fall to me. I'm his husband but instead this duty falls to his own son."

"Look at it this way, Fox would kill every last one of us in a heartbeat but Haise, he's not gonna kill his son dude. He's just not."

"Yeah I suppose you're right."

Cain noticed how well she cradled his son and analyzed every feature on his little face.

"Laila, why did you come back to this life? You could've gone on and started a new life. Met a guy. Started a family."

"It's a nice idea but life had different plans for me. Simple Chicago girl who's family got murdered. Adopted from an orphanage and experimented on by my quote on quote parents. Dear old dad caused me to need a complete and total hysterectomy. Then I joined the military to escape my pain and channel my anger. That's when Tallone sunk her claws into me. She manipulated me and used me as a fucking pawn. Cain...I stayed in the life to right the wrongs done by myself and the ones I served. But now it's more than that, Hei always stood in front of us and shielded us from harm. Bearing the weight of the world and us on his shoulders always took a toll but he continued to wear a smile. That's all I want Cain...I just want to see him smile again and wrap his arms around his children."

"I- Laila I don't know what to say."

"Oh please don't start feeling sorry for me. It makes me angry and besides I rather enjoy being an auntie to your little brats."

"Hei's lucky to have you."

"You have me too. We're family now and don't you ever forget that."

He smiled at her and continued to watch his son's teachings, all while keeping an eye on Yuki and Ellie who were allowed to watch from a distance.

Fox and company all left the airport the moment they were allowed to get off the plane.

The police had wanted to question everyone on the flight but thanks to them being in hysterics, they just allowed them all to go on their merry ways. Now began phase two.

Yuno had taken Sora to go find clothing and food supplies while Ahnisti and Fox unpacked.

Fox walked out onto the balcony and stared at the object of his desires, Buckingham Palace.

"Beautiful is it not?"

"It won't be for long. Soon it'll be just like Paris except this time we'll spark a war."

"Yes we will and then the end shall begin and a new world can be built on the ashes."

"You know I love it when you get all deep and shit."
