I walked downstairs, following her into the backyard. She threw her bag onto a chair around the fire pit, and I set mine down in the chair next to hers.

"Can you help me get the wood?" She said as she walked to the corner of the yard, grabbing pieces of wood and setting them into the pit. I smiled, grabbing three pieces at once and setting them aside. She grabbed something from the table on the patio, and I realized it was a match. She threw the match into the pit, and the backyard was lit up with the light from the fire we just started.

"Don't catch anything on fire, Viv." I laughed.

"I know how to handle fire, Hemmo, I'm a big girl." She laughed and she threw a few pieces of blank paper into the fire, making it bigger.

"What if I threw you into the fire?" I asked, trying not to laugh.

"What the fuck? Why would you do that?" She backed away from the fire.

I started laughing. "I don't know, I was just thinking."

"Do you think of throwing people into fires often?" She laughed.

"Actually, yes I do." I laughed.

"You're crazy."

"Crazy for you, babe." I grabbed onto her waist, pulling her into me.

"Babe? Really?"

"Do you have a problem with that?"

"You are such a dork."

"But I'm your dork."

"Oh my god, lets do our homework."

We did our homework in an hour, so it was almost seven when we finished. We both sat on a bench next to the fire together, Vivian was cuddled into my side and I had my arms wrapped around her.

"Luke?"

"Yes?" I was surprised, she called me Luke.

"We've only known each other for, like, a month and a half...." Her voice faded.

"I know."

"Don't you think that's weird?"

"Yeah, but we're weird." She was laying with her head on my chest, and I rested my chin on top of her head.

"I really like you Luke."

"I really like you too, Vivian." I smiled to myself.

Then Ashton opened the back door, walking into the yard and sitting at the fire, leaning back in a chair.

"Ash..." Vivian whined as she sat up, obviously not wanting him outside with us.

"Oh, do you not want me out here?" He sat up.

"Not really."

"Well, too bad. Mum told me to come out here."

"Ugh. Hemmo, come with me." She stood up. I walked inside with her, and she stomped into the living room. "Mum!"

"What?"

"Why did you tell Ashton to come outside with me and Hemmo?" I stood quietly next to her.

"I never did."

"Well he told me- ASHTON!" She screamed, running back outside.

"Did you call me?" He smirked.

"Why did you lie to me?"

"What do you mean?"

"Why did you tell me Mum said for you to come outside?"

"Because she did."

"You're lying Ashton!" She yelled.

"Fine, I'm just messing with you!"

"Go back inside!"

"What if I don't want to?"

"Oh my god." She stopped talking and put her hands on her forehead, I could tell she was really mad.

"Viv, just calm down."

"He's-"

"Baby. Sweetie. Stop it. Look at me." I stood in front of her and put my hands on her shoulders.

"Luke...." She trailed off, trying to keep a straight face but failing. He was still mad at Ashton, and I was making her happy again, she just didn't want to admit it.

"Just calm down. Its okay."

"I just want him to go inside, Hemmo." She whined, pushing her head against my chest.

"If would ask nicely, then maybe he will." I laughed.

"It's Ashton, he isn't going to listen."

"Then tell your Mum."

"That's something a six year old would do."

"And?"

"Mum! Ashton isn't listening!" She yelled after a couple seconds, running to her mum. I walked in after her, and I could hear Ashton quietly chuckling to himself as I walked inside.
