I was surprised, to say the least. Her hands made their way to the end of my sweater, lifting it up slightly and slipping her hands under my shirt, running her fingers over my chest. I kissed back, my hands getting tangled in her hair. I lifted my sweater off of my head, throwing it on the floor next to me and leaving me in only a t-shirt and ripped jeans. We were only parted for a couple seconds, but when we kissed again, it seemed like we hadn't kissed in ages. My hands went to her waist as hers went to my hair, pulling gently. I moaned quietly, making her giggle slightly into the kiss. I chuckled softly, making her laugh. Pretty soon, we were laughing too hard to focus on what were doing seconds earlier, laughing at nothing in particular.
"Why did you start laughing?" I asked, once we had calmed down.
"Why were you laughing?" She questioned, still giggling.
"I was laughing because you were laughing!" I started laughing agin, and then Natalie walked out of the door to the classroom.
"What just happened?" She asked, confused. She looked from my discarded sweater, to me, to Vivian, then back to the sweater, then back to us. "Why are you laughing?"
Her questions only made us laugh harder. I calmed down slightly, still laughing quietly. Vivian was dying of laughter, about nothing. I thought it was cute, that was the main reason I was still laughing. Vivian's laugh is contagious.
"Why do you ask so many questions, Nat?" I smiled to her.
"I ask so many questions because you guys are confusing and you never tell me what's going on!" She yelling jokingly. Vivian calmed down, and we started walking down the empty hallways, our fingers laced together.
"So, where are we going now?" Vivian asked as we kept walking.
"I don't know, I just wanna walk." I shrugged. "I don't care where I am. If I'm with you, I'm happy."
"Hemmo," She smiled, looking at the floor.
"Ugh. I'm already being third-wheeled." Natalie groaned.
"Well, sorry, I like being with my boyfriend." Vivian rolled her eyes at Natalie playfully, leaning into my side a little.
"I'm not as mad as I would be if it was Carolyn and her idiot boyfriend." She rolled her eyes at the thought of Carolyn. "You guys are cute, they're gross. All they do is make out. Bleh."
"Finally, someone else gets it!" Vivian yelled.
"Okay, why don't we just not think about Carolyn for now, or ever? Yeah, I think that's good, let's stop talking about her." I smiled, looking ahead of me.
"That's a good idea." Vivian laughed as we walked out the large doors, to the quad.
We only skip the one class, its the class Vivian hates.
Then, it was the next period. The one I don't have with Vivian.
It went by slowly, and I was barely listening to anything the teacher was saying. I couldn't stop thinking about her. The thought of her lips, eyes, hands, everything, all of it consumed my thoughts, leaving no space for schoolwork. I snapped out of my thoughts when the bell rang, and it was time for lunch.
I found Vivian and Natalie standing in front of my locker, waiting for me. Vivian's back was to me, so I decided I would surprise her. Natalie saw me, and I quickly put my finger to my lips, giving her a signal to keep her distracted and to act like I wasn't there. I quietly came up behind Vivian and put one hand across her eyes and the other covering her mouth. She screamed quickly, trying to turn around, but failing. She tried to say something, but her words were muffled by my hand. When she realized I couldn't understand her, she stuck out her tongue and licked my hand.
"Scream again." I whispered into her ear. She sucked in a sharp breath. I laughed and released her from my hold.
"Hemmo!" She yelled, hitting my arm.
"What?" I smiled.
"You're a weirdo." She laughed, and the three of us made our way to the cafeteria.
