Hard-To-Reach

I was told
To find love is to look
In those hard-to-reach places.
So I stuck my hand on the tallest shelf,
I stretched it beneath my bed,
I ran it up the wall towards the ceiling,
But it wasn't there.
They lied, I thought.
So I gave up.
I moved on.
I stopped looking.
And then I found it.

Maybe the place is hard-to-reach
Because you can't find it by looking.
Don't sit around searching for love.
Live your life outside of your comfort zone.
Just live your life.
And it will find you.
