Alyson pov.
I lost count of the days, stopped counting really. I've memorized the seemingly endless hallways, and tried every exit. The loneliness slowly driving me mad, but also the clicking.
Every once in a while, this annoying clicking sound will go off, and ring all around me. Before the sound stops and I can hear someone walking away, only there's no one around me.
Mina visits me a lot, I even asked her about the clicking, thinking it might be another ghost. Only to find out that ghost can always see each other, so if there was another ghost, I would definitely know.
I've grown so use to Mina following me around, that without really meaning to, I started wandering around looking for her. Talking to myself until she shows up and just walks with me.
She told me Jimin moved on.
With some girl named Aria.
I didn't believe her at first, until she said she had even seen him hand over the bear that I gave him for her to hold. I nearly cried when she told me that he named the bear after me, but the tears just never came.
"How's Jimin?" I asked as Mina stood by a window, peering out at the world going on around us. "Still sad, but better now that he has Aria" she said casually, like Jimin moving on so quickly didn't shock her. Like it didn't hurt me.
It was for the best though, she was alive. I was dead. She was a choice, I was a burden.
"Don't look so sad child, there are plenty of dead guys, just roaming around"
I rolled my eyes at her playful adittude, our relationship had gotten better, only the occasional lamp being thrown her way.
"Don't worry, she should be waking up any day now"
I heard the voice right when I was about to speak, it sounded like it was in the same room as me. "Who was that?" I asked and Mina looked slightly startled, "perhaps a doctor next door, there's a woman in a coma" she said moving away from the window.
"Are you sure, she doesn't look like she is getting any better"
Jennifer. I whipped around in the room and even opened the door and looked down the hall, I know that was her, I know her voice.
"That was Jennifer, she's here?" I said slightly confused and hurt, if she was here then someone was hurt. And yet I never saw her when I died, she was never here for me.
"Honey, its probably your mind playing tricks, it happened to me when I died, I started hearing my ex boyfriends voice" she said and I nodded, I sat down in a chair and groaned. "Ex boyfriend?" I asked and she nodded slightly, her soaking hair splashing her in the face.
"The twins father, a real asshole if you ask me"
I raised my eyebrows at this, if the dad stuck around then why did the twins die?
"Did he stick around?" I asked playing with the ends of my shirt. "Oh no, he was a major drug dealer, hooked on cocaine and other stuff, I didn't want that for my babies so I kicked him out" she said staring off into space for a minute before her eyes flashed to me, and for once she looked vulnerable.
"I haven't seen him since, dead or alive, or at least I don't remember" she said before blanking out again, that explains it. Deadbeat dad plus crazy mother equals two equally crazy twins.
I stared out the window again, thinking about what would have happened, if I hadn't gone home that day.
3rd pov.
It was loud. Everyone talking at once, all the different people.
"911, whats your emergency?"
Police officers ran around the office, either waiting to be given a job or going out on one.
One girl, running with a full stack of papers, almost ran into a busy phone operator, but dodged him in time. The girl opened a office door, revealing another woman, in a business suit, sitting behind a desk. "Here's the files you asked for Detective West"
Detective Estrella West, the lead detective on the recently found drowning victim case. The best in the department.
Flipping through the files, Estrella frowned slightly. This didn't made any sense.
Standing up, she left her office and went down to the inventory, where the wrecked car was being stored. When she got there her partner, Detective Miriam Stone, was already there. Sitting in front of her, was the very same car Estrella was coming to see.
Miriam turned the second the door opened, she smiled when she saw Estrella, and held up the same file that Estrella had, "I assume you got the file too?" Miriam asked and Estrella nodded.
The crime scene investigator, Ginger, walked over with her white gloves pulled up to her elbows and a clipboard in her hands. "What can I help you with ladies?" Ginger asked and they both held up the file, "you can explain this" Miriam said and Ginger just nodded.
Ginger walked over to the car and pointed to the shattered windshield, a hole right smack in the middle of it where the unidentified woman came flying through it. "The hole is slightly over more on the passengers side, me and my crew did a simulation of the crash, there is no way the driver made that hole" Ginger said turning back to the two detectives.
"The hole is to off centered and for the driver to have been launched out of the car like that, she would have to already be leaning over the center console with her seat belt unbuckled" Ginger explained crossing her arms as a man walked over to the three women, "I got a perfect match for our victim, her name is Mina Meyer, 26 years old".
Ginger nodded to the man and he left shortly after telling them, "well ladies I only have two scenarios for you today, either Miss. Mina wasn't a safe driver and this was an accident," Ginger started and her voice darkened slightly.
"Or she wasn't the one driving, and this is a murder"
