//LUKE'S POV://

"So," I took a deep breath before re-connecting our eyes. "Are you going to explain to me what....this is?" I gestured around to the general area. The smile slipped off her face as quickly as it appeared, before she tilted her head to the ground. A sigh escpaped her lips before she stared straight ahead into the wild array of shrubs and trees. As she opened her mouth to speak, her chrystal blue eyes went wide with realization.

"Another time, I promise. Christian is probably looking for me so I have to go. If he finds yo-"

"Woah woah wait, who's Christian?" My mouth formed his name as if it were poisonous; jealousy twisting in the pit of my stomach. I did not like the fact that she was hanging around another guy, even if we weren't together.

"I'll explain everything later, but right now I really have to go!" She shot up off the ground, and pausing to brush the dirt and fragments of grass that had collected on her bloodstained jeans. I swallowed nervously as the previous way I'd seen her burned at the core of my mind.

That image will probably haunt me forever.

Just as she turned to take off into the forest, I snapped back to my senses, and sent one last question towards her.

"When will I see you again?" My voice cracked with strain mid-sentence. She turned around once more; I could practically see the gears turning in her head as she thought.

"Meet me by our swingset at 4:00pm tomorrow. Bring no one, and tell no one." She deadpanned. With one final nod, and a brief whisk of wind, she was gone. Leaving me stranded in the forest with no recollection of the way I came in.

"Well shit,"

//LOUISE'S POV://

"Hey! Wanna come play Mario Kart with us, Louise?" One of those pathetic boys I was forced to put up with beamed as he waved some...controller thing around wildly. I grimaced.

"Err...no, I'm alright, thanks. I think I'm going to go...read a book..." I struggled to whip up a quick excuse, sending Michael a fake smile to reasure him. He huffed before nodding in dissapointment, and diverting his attention back to the loading screen. Without a second thought, I bolted up the stairs, closing the guest room door quietly behind me. I scanned around the practically empty room to double checked I wasn't being listenned to or watched. Once I was content with the fact I wasn't, I pulled out my cellular device from my back pocket.

We didn't have anything like this while I was still human, so contraptions like these take some getting used to.

It rang once or twice, before a slight crackling on the other line signalled that he picked up.

"Louise?" His speech was partially blocked by a great deal of something in his mouth. He was probably out hunting.

"I'm sorry to bother you, but it's quite important."

I waited patiently with the device pressed to my right ear, as numerous 'thud's, sliding, and swallowing sounds eminated from the other line. My throat began to burn as I pictured the scene unfolding just a few kelometres away from me; reminding myself that I haven't been out to feed in a while.

"Okay," He cleared his throat a few times before his rough voice flooded my ears. "What exactly is the problem? How is our plan doing?" I bit my lip as I struggled for the right words to say.

"Well...our plan is actually the problem." I spoke cautiously, nervous for his responce. A thick, unsettling silence settled over the line, making my skin crawl. If Christian was silent, it was never a good thing.

"What, do you mean, by our plan is the problem." He spat. His tone implying that it was more of a statement rather than a question.

"Luke isn't exactly taken by me. He saw something by the woods this morning that made him go all...weird, and resist any actions of intimacy I tried to carry out on him." It felt much too weird admiting that. Normally, men had no problem becoming obsessed over me. All it takes is one bat of the eyelashes, and they practically fell at my feet.

"I think I know what he saw...is there anything else that happened?" I bit my lip as I thought back to every single event that took place today.

It's not that hard. My "special" vampire talent is my excellent memory.

"Luke went for a walk after lunch, and I think he went in the direction of the forest. He isn't back yet, so he still may be there." I recited back from my mind. A string of angry sounding Russian words pierced my ears, making me cringe.

"I know what he saw. I'll deal with it don't worry. You, however, need to step your game up."  I placed my left hand on my hip in boredom, as he was about to give me yet another order to fufill.

"What does that entail?" I could practically feel his famous smirk dripping through the phone.

"Get him alone as much as possilble, find out his dirty little secrets, kiss him, seduce him, do whatever it is you need to do. Kayla and Luke can't be together. They can't." Distain for the blonde haired boy practically seeped through the line as he hissed.

"Fine, just don't forget our deal." I spoke through clenched teeth. Just as I was about to end the call, one more vital piece of information fell to the front of my mind.

"OH! One more thing. One of the boys in this house is quite special. His name is Ashton Irwin."

"And what makes him so special?" Christian articulated every letter out of annoyance; his patience wearing thin.

"He's a hunter."

There are about 8 or 9 chapters left :'( noooooooo

Thank you to everyone reading! I love you all :)x

Please vote, and comment what you thought! If i get enough reads, I'm thinking about doing a character Q&A. So you leave a question you have for the characters and I'll answer them as if the character is talking. How does that sound? One of my favourite wattpad authors did that, so let me know if you want me to! ^-^

Forever yours,

~K ♥
