Chapter 20:

Luke's POV://

Pure contentment washed through my veins as our lips moved in sync with each others. I felt her fingers slither up from my neck to my hair like a snake; roughly tugging at the ends.

I couldn't help but feel like something was off, though.

I peaked one of my eyes open, and nearly had a heart attack at the mass of blonde hair dangling in front of my face.

"Louise?!" I shoved her back roughly by her shoulders as she stumbled over the tiled floor. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" She huffed at my outburst, and proceeded to straighten her blouse, which had somehow ridden up in the heated moment.

"You might want to ask yourself the same question, Luke. I mean, you seemed to be quite enjoying yourself there." I grit my teeth together as a smirk slid its way onto her face; she knew she was right.

I can't deny that it wasn't nice. Then again, if someone attractive began making out with you, you would find it pleasing as well.

She did have one part wrong, though.

"Not as much as I would've enjoyed it with Kayla."

The words seemed to tumble out of my mouth before I could stop them. What started out as an internal thought, had now just quite possibly ignited WW3. The smirk practically slid off her face as if it were an icy slope; pooling at her feet. It was instead replaced with a look of hatred.

"Listen Luke, Kayla isn't like you anymore. She can't be with you." She spat, as the tension in the cramped, grimy bathroom crept up a few pegs. I scoffed.

"To hell she isn't! I couldn't care less that she's a vampire!"

As soon as the words left my mouth, I knew I had made a fatal mistake.

And judging by the look of extreme shock etched onto her face, she knew it too.

"What did you just say?" The only audible sound was her monstrous heels clicking as she slowly took a few intimidating steps closer to me. Fear began to weave its way through my veins; a feeling becoming quite familiar these days.

"N-Nothing, nothing at all."

"Don't try to backtrack; I know what you said!" She hissed,  as my knees began to tremble. My back was still pressed tightly against the dirty back wall; an undesirable position to be in at this point in time.
