//LUKE'S POV://

The sun was beginning to set beyond the trees as I wandered around the woods aimlessly. At least 75% of my faith for getting out of here alive had gone up in smoke during the endless time I seemed to be wandering around here for.

I understand that she had to leave, but would it kill her to possibly point me in the right direction?

I groaned at my choice of words; slapping myself upside the head at my stupidity. I mean, I just found the girl of my dreams draining a man's blood in the forest, and I go and think that.

Way to go, Luke.

I huffed, as I walked passed a tree that I was sure I'd seen at least 4 times before.

Where the hell am I?

Sighing in annoyance, I ran a hand through my thin blonde hair as I pondered an escape plan. I hoped before, that if I just kept trudging through the brush, that I would somehow make it back.

But look where that got me.

A branch snapped close by, signalling me that I wasn't alone. I froze mid breath, as the footsteps got closer and closer.

Could it be another thing like Kayla?

My heart almost stopped completely, as a raspy voice weaved its way through the trees.

"Luke! There you are!" Ashton sighed in relief as he strode over towards me. I let the shocked look slip off my face, and removed my hands I had pressed tightly to my chest in fear.

"Thank GOD! Oh my god I thought I was going to die!" I breathed out a sigh of relief as I crushed him in a hug. He stumbled back as I took him by surprise; a nervous laugh escaping his lips.

"Lets head back. There are dangerous things that rear their heads at night." He slung an arm around my shoulders as he guided me towards the oposite way I was heading.

If only you knew, Ash. If only you knew...

As we walked in silence, I realized that there were no breadcrums, or strands of string leading the way; he was just...walking as if he had been through here numerous times before.

But he wouldn't have any reason to map out this forest or anything.

So, how would he know the way so effortlessly?

"Ashton..." I started; unsure of how to continue. He let out an easy laugh as we ambled on.

"Uh oh, you only ever say 'Ashton' when I'm in trouble. What did I do now?" I turned over multiple explanations in my head for his sudden knowledge of where to go, but none of them were sound enough for me to believe.

"How do you know how to get out of here so easily? You haven't been in here before, and I was completely lost." I spoke as softly as I could, not wanting to offend him. I felt him stiffen ever so slightly underneath me as his gaze was locked on the clearing ahead.
