Ever asked a child what they were drawing on a blank piece of white paper? And in response they hold up that piece of paper and say that it's a rabbit in a snow storm. To a child it is their imagination that made that blank paper into something. But to the adult it may seem like a lack of imagination and the child is making an excuse as to why they didn't draw anything. For now I'll leave it up to the readers to decide what to think of it. I'm here only to tell the tale of how the rabbit in the snow storm pertains to our young lady.
Our young lady is an artistic soul, inspired by the wonders of nature and pure fantasy. Her views and character tend to stay within the light. But with the spotlight in the art world being so bright, our young lady is, more often than not, the rabbit in the snow storm.
Her bright and light hearted art gets lost in the spotlight for there is no contrast. Many popular artists use contrast, color, shape, and unique skill to combat the spotlight, and in doing so their pieces stand out and catch the eye of the public. But for our young lady her art work is soft, not bold, and regretfully gets over looked and dismissed, quite like the rabbit in the snow storm.
I do my best to encourage her and hope she continues on, but I fear she finds my words to be empty fluff that do nothing more than to try and make her feel better. Yet my hope lingers as I feel that when she accepts her style she will rise up better than ever like a flaming phoenix, and no longer the lost rabbit in a snow storm.
