When there is a great personal accomplishment made, some pride often follows. Our young lady had gone through her second graduation and felt a swell of pride when she held her degrees. She wished to share such a great personal accomplishment with those closest to her. Her excitement was overwhelming as she felt she could fly to the moon and back.
Yet when our young lady reached out to those she holds most dear she got no response. She gave as much time as she could stand but still nothing. One did answer but it was a dry and distracted response.
This hit our young lady and pulled the wind out from under her wings. So she went fishing. She went and posted all over social media, trying to reach as many other friends that she could, just so she could continue her flight.
Having to fish for others is a desperate move to continue to feel that the self pride in making an accomplishment was earned. Not only that, but to heal the hurt that comes from the lack of recognition of those who's opinions mean the most. It's something many have done and there should be no shame. One should always take some pride in one's accomplishments. But one must always hold on to some humility as well. Our young lady is still recovering from the hurt of being ignored but she still has some pride in her accomplishments, and she earned it. And having gone fishing she has found some reassurance in some of her other friends and knows that she is loved and is not alone in her joy.
