On to new tides. New waters, new currents, new beasts, new storms, and an entire new world. But how did we get here?
Many, many events have happened to our young lady that have just been one storm after the next. Each one unique and unpredictable. Our young lady has been battered by each one but has still come through in the end. Or so she had hoped. She had hoped that all this trouble was finished with the past year. She looked hopeful to the new year for rest, recovery, and peace. But the season of storms has not yet yielded and rages on.
The first storm of the new year came from a source she never would have guessed. The person she had been closest to for over a decade had severed ties. Be it temporary or permanent our young lady has of yet to find out. This was a major heartbreaking blow that she has still not quite recovered from.
The next storm was one of reality shattering impossibility. A scare that one of her parents had possibly gotten breast cancer. Our young lady wanted so desperately to have a friend during this revelation, but had none. She suffered in secret and prayed until she was gasping with sobs. This could not be happening.
Though the storm was not yet finished for the threat of a virus had struck the entire world. Quarantine had been initiated, but with her heartbreak, our young lady could not enjoy her free time. Her artist spirit had been broken, she had no inspiration, nor motivation. And fear seized the pieces of her broken heart as one of her two jobs was shut down due to the viral outbreak. What was to become of financial situation now? She now has rent to pay, and groceries to purchase.
Fear not! Spoke the Father for I shall not forsake you. I have given you a promise of better days to come. Keep faith and cling to hope. Stand on this promise made to you. Pray, speak with me, and spend time in my presence. Only then will you find peace and joy.
With this the storm had yielded. The waters had begun to still themselves. Our young lady gave her fight to the Savior that had died for it. When she did this she regained peace. For there was no cancer in her parent. She still had a job, and a job willing to give her more hours. She still had family, though fragmented, that still cared for her. And most of all she has a God that only knows victory and has already won all the battles. All that she need do is be still and praise.
Our young lady has grown and is still growing. She has out grown her familiar world, and must now go out upon the waters to find a new place to support her growth. The journey is rough, but it's not called a battlefield for nothing. Every thing that happens is to strengthen our young lady so that she may flourish in this new world that is rapidly approaching through the mists ahead. She need only keep her eyes on the Lord and she will know peace, no matter the journey. For she was given a promise, and she will stand on it as she sails on new tides.
