3rd POV

-thump-

"Woah are you okay?" Alexander hurriedly assisted Meira to get her up on the ground.  She groaned as she cleaned her clothing since it was full of dirt when she fell on the ground.

"Huh? What was that?" Meira asked, confused.

"What happened to you, It's as if you bumped into something." Leigh rushed towards them. She waved her hand in the air but there was nothing.

Meira tried to move forward but was blocked by some kind of force field. Suddenly, black fog can be seen engulfing the camp. Leigh then walked past the fog with no problem as if it didn't exist.

"There's some sort of barrier that's surrounding the camp..." Meira said while tracing the barrier.

"Oh, you forgot that Prince Zachariah created an invisible barrier that could keep outsiders away from our camp? Everyone in our camp should be allowed to go in and out." Alexander reminded her. Meira's confused face turned into a sad one.

"But... I can't go in. Alexander..." Meira sadly said, pouting. Leigh looked confused.

"What? Prince Zachariah wouldn't possibly forget to specify you're an ally." Leigh said. Just when Alexander is about to speak, Zachariah intervenes.

"I must've forgotten, there's no way she couldn't enter if she was." He admitted. He raises his hand on the barrier until he is done modifying the barrier. He immediately walked away once he was done modifying the barrier.

"Talk about rude- but since it was Zachariah, I'll forgive him!" Leigh exclaimed. She blushes as she follows Zachariah, leaving Meira and Alexander behind.

"Why don't you try it out, Meira?" Alexander asked. She placed her hand on the barrier as it passed through. The black fog visual also disappeared, and she smiled at Alexander.

"It's all fixed~" She hops towards their camp as Alexander follows behind her. Looking at her from behind, Alexander felt uneasy all of a sudden.

It was after the big fight, the sun was very high up yet the wind was cool. Perhaps it's all because of the trees. Everyone was mentally and physically exhausted. They fought the grim down and used up a lot of mana.

The next thing they need to do is to look for Everett before they can continue their search for this island. They can't abandon him, not only does it act as war material, but it'll deduct some scores as well.

"Let us all rest and finish lunch before we leave this area. I recommend everyone to start packing up because we will leave as soon as we finish eating." Zachariah announced. He walked toward Alexander with his menacing face, Alexander felt nervous.

"I'll leave you in charge of making lunch for everyone." He tapped his shoulders and walked away, Alexander sighed. You're just pushing your work onto me! He thought. But he is already used to doing a lot of work.

"Let me lead you the way where we catch our fish," Zachariah offered. Alexander forced a smile.

"No, I'll be fine. Thank you, Your Highness." Alexander replied with almost a sarcastic tone. Is he looking down on me? He thought.

"No, I insist. I also have something to tell you." He insisted. Alexander noticed the change in his voice just now and suddenly felt uneasy, maybe it was something important... he thought. He gets a hint that Zachariah wants to say something to him in secret.

"Well, if you insist... Please lead the way." Alexander replied. They walked out of the camp, away from Meira and Leigh as they walked alongside following the river. It felt awkward since they were silent the whole time, it made Alexander uncomfortable- made them both uncomfortable.
