Meira's POV

Nauseous. I feel nauseous. I slowly raised myself and assessed my surroundings. Where am I?

I'm in a cave, no... It's a cavern.

"M'lady! You're awake!" I heard a voice beside me and I saw Everett leaning on the wall.

"Everett? Where are we?" I asked him. If I can recall, I passed out when I heard the gigantic creature scream so loud that I thought my eardrums broke.

"I don't know, we were thrown away when an explosion occurred..." He admitted. He pointed at the ceiling with a light shining through the hole.

"We fell into this cavern and we are stuck, I came up with different kinds of solutions but none of them works." He said, clearly exhausted.

"Have you tried looking around for an opening?" I asked, and he nodded in reply. "Then we are completely stuck here?"

"Unfortunately, I'm sorry M'lady." Everett placed his hands together as if he were praying.

"No no, it isn't your fault okay? Can't you do levitation magic like Zachariah?" I asked. We will be able to get out if that's the case.

"I haven't studied levitation that well, I can't last more than a minute levitating if I did that." He admitted. His face became slightly red when said that. Is he embarrassed?

"If that's the case, then that method won't work. How about we use barriers to create stairs?" I asked. Everett sighed in defeat.

"I'm afraid that didn't work, Creating a lot of barriers costs a large amount of mana. I only managed to take 50 steps and yet I haven't reached halfway to the cavern." He was disappointed said. What? 50 barriers?! That's very impressive! I can give him my mana so that means we can do this right now.

"Even so, that is still impressive." I complimented him. He got even more flustered. "If that's the case, I can give you some of my mana so that we can get out."

"Really? Even if you combine Zachariah's mana capacity with mine is still not enough. Is your mana capacity higher than Zachariah's?" He asked.

"I apparently do." I lied as I looked away. I can't tell him that the magic circle broke when it tried to count my mana capacity, it's possible for it to be infinite.

"Really? That means we can leave this place-" Everett suddenly stood up but quickly fell to his knees.

"Everett!" I worriedly called him as I rushed towards him. He has been taking deep breaths as if he is panting. He is incredibly sweating. Is he sick?!

I quickly placed my hand on his forehead and it was extremely hot.

"Everett, you've caught a cold! When did you feel sick?" I asked him worriedly. I look around if there are any herbal plants in the cavern.

"Hah... It's probably not a normal cold," he commented.

"What do you mean?" I asked. What else could it be if it's not just a cold?

"It must be because of mana deficiency. I've used up most of my mana that I fell sick." He explained. Mana deficiency... It's the first time I've heard of it. Nonetheless, I should be able to have some methods to try and cure him.

"Is giving you mana will cure this? Maybe healing magic?" I suggested. I am 90% confident that would work.

"Not instantly, but I will start to heal on my own once I get my mana back. Herbs are the best healing substance if you caught a cold, healing magic is mostly used in wounds." He answered. I stood up and made my distance away from him.
