3rd POV

Light enveloped the entire cavern. The light is even more potent than the magic that the mages canted. It was more blinding and powerful. But with that light, every single speck of grim evidence vanished.

Yes. Every. Single. One.

Every single injury of people in the cavern is healed... The soldiers and students who were transformed into grims became humans again. The professors all woke up at once, confused at the peaceful surroundings.

"Your Majesty!!" Headmaster Merlin rushed toward King Luther and assisted him to stand up. The King was stunned at what just happened.

He knows that he was about to die at that moment... If it wasn't for the light, he would be dead. But his eyes laid on the unconscious Meira lying down on the ground. His heart drops, hoping that his daughter is just unconscious.

"Meira!!" He screamed as he rushed towards her. While everyone is now conscious, she is the only one who is unconscious. He held her in his arms, relieved that she was alive and breathing.

"Bring a healer!" The Headmaster ordered as people were in a panic. Students started to gather around, curious about what just happened. "Mages, guide all of the students to the ships."

"Everyone, disperse! Out of the way!" Zachariah exclaimed as he, a healer, and the other royals made their way toward the King.

Her friends are incredibly worried, especially Auriana who is weeping at the sight of Meira's condition.

All of the other students were guided back, out of the cavern. The healer rushed toward Meira and started healing her.

"Meira! Your Majesty, that light..!" Alexander worriedly sat beside the King. They both looked at each other knowingly, as if they knew something about the mysterious light.

"Your Majesty, let us take the princess back to the ship and give her proper medical attention," Zachariah said. Meira's condition is not improving, even though she is being healed by a healer. The healing powers aren't working on her.

It's like trying to pour water in a bucket. Except that the bucket has a hole in the bottom.

"The Arachne Mimicus is not dead. Now is the perfect time to strike, that grim didn't leave unscathed from that light. It must've been gravely injured," Everett said as he pointed at the ground, where lies a red string- which is used by the grim to escape quickly.

"... Fine. I'll entrust her to you, Alexander. I will kill that monster and bring its head back to Meira," King Luther declared himself full of bloodlust. He is mad right now but he still manages to maintain his composure. Such a great King.

"Soldiers, accompany the royals back to the ship. The professors will come with us to hunt down the grim," Headmaster Merlin declared. They all gathered and surrounded the royals.

"Yes, Your Majesty." Alexander bowed as he carried Meira. Walking away from the cavern.

Arachne Mimicus's POV

Shit! Shit! Shit!

I knew there was something off with that girl but I can't believe she was this powerful! Almost half of my body is disintegrated from that light if I reacted late even for a split second... I would be dead.

I didn't expect that coming. Even if I want to regenerate myself now... I can't. The damage that the light can't be regenerated.

All of my plans are ruined, I'm such a disgrace to the Goddess!
