Theas POV

My breath bitched in my throat and I couldn't bring my eyes to meet hers.

'You did' replayed over and over again in my head.

The hatred in her eyes felt foreign to be in my direction. But they say your mind speaks the truth when your drunk right? Must be the same when you're high.

"I can't believe you did this" I whispered, finally finding the courage to meet her eyes but they only glared into mine with such hatred that I took a step back.

That same glare that I felt everyday from my mother even while she rotted away in that cell.

"You did this Thea. You think I wanted to do this? This is all your fault! I can't believe I ever even called you my best friend. Just look at you. Your pathetic" Kay did always have her way with words.

I flinched at the last line of her speech. The words were so familiar but had never hurt as much when I was called them, that what it felt like now.

"Kayleigh" Cameron warned.

"Oh shut up Camera. This hasn't got anything to do with you. This is between me and Blondie."

The nickname I had grown up with now felt like a dig, an insult, a mock.

"Look at her. Can't even form a sentence." I gulped. I never liked being in these situations. I felt so useless. That's why I like to fight, I can actually use my fists.

But this, this was personal. This was things that hit home, things that I can't say.

"Shut up Kay" I mumbled.

Her cold laugh rang out through the room. "Is that all you got? Jesus, no wonder your ma tried to kill you. With a daughter like you, anyone would."

"Kayleigh!" This time it was Gilinsky that stood up to her. I could feel many eyes on me, not knowing what to do.

"Oh shut up kid, you were just an easy fuck." Kay rolled her eyes at Gilinsky.

"I don't know why you're acting like this but you need to stop. Stop it now before it gets out of hand." Gilinsky brushed off her sentence before hand and still tried to reason with her. But you can't reason with the devil.

"Why did you start again?" I asked her angrily.

"Why did I start? I thought we went over this. You made me go back."

I sighed shakily. "No I didn't kay, tell me the truth. I'm sick of hearing all your bullshit."

"You wanna year the truth? Okay, you asked for it. You're just a dumb blonde that no one likes. You can't even form a fucking sentence right. All you can do is move your fist and even at that. No one here likes you! You beat ya up all the time! Your ma was a fuck up and so are you. You're just like her. Just leave Thea. We'd all be better off without you."

Kay turned into the living room and fell onto the couch like nothing happened.

I followed in after her. "You're a piece of shit, did you know that? You can't even stay sober for a fucking week. All you do is fuck lads like the little whore you are."
