Chapter 22 - Tart Pops

Kayleighs POV

I strolled into school, late, with the feeling that a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

I didn't go home last night as I couldn't bare the amount of questions I had to face so instead I decided to stay in one of my little 'delinquents' house's. I've done business with him before so he knew exactly who I was and didn't hesitate when I asked him and a few of his friends a little favour.

Luckily it was lunch so I could just enter the canteen. I fixed the black aviators on my face before entering the crowded canteen.

I immediately saw the table which held the boys and Thea. They were all laughing but Thea sat slouched in her seat with a distant look.

I felt myself grow angry again but calmed slightly when I caught a glimpse of Woods.

I smirked widely as I stared at his body covered with black and blue bruises and harsh cuts that are gonna scar. He looked at me and the fear in his eyes was unmistakable. He gulped before turning to the ground.

"Kayleigh!" my smirk dropped as I heard Theas voice from across the canteen. Now she grabbed the attention of all the guys.

Shit.

I forced a smile and walked over. All ten pair of eyes watched my every move as of I would bolt any second, which I think I might, but all too soon I was in front of their table.

Roll on the lies.

"Hey" I smiled brightly as if nothing happened. I took a seat between Matt and Shawn.

"Hey? That's all you gotta say" Thea snapped. I rolled my eyes as nobody could see due to the sunglasses.

"Calm down" I laughed it off as I grabbed Matts drink and took a sip.

"Kay, you left and didn't even fucking think to text" Cam growled.

"I forgot" I shrugged. I could feel their temper rising as I made them out to be idiots for worrying about it.

"Kay we were worried sick" Shawn said beside me.

AWW not little cutie pitutie.

I glanced at G through the side of the glasses and saw him staring intently at me. He looked hurt.

I scanned his face of the bruises that covered it. I glanced at Nash also and saw the same.

Why the fuck did I think it would be a good idea to face them today.

"Look, I just got overwhelmed from seeing the guys like that so I need to leave" I explained. That wasn't really a lie, I was overwhelmed.

"Then why were you angry?" Thea asked with determination.

"And why did you apologise?" G finally spoke.

I looked over his shoulder and saw Woods making his way over here. I scrunched my face in confusion and balled my fist. A couple of the guys glanced behind G too to see what u was looking at. I saw a couple tense but all confused.

"Hey babe" He smirked as he pushed Shawn out of the way and sat beside me.

I'm gonna kill him.

But I knew I couldn't.

"What happened you? You look a fucking mess" Taylor snorted. Kai looked at me with a victorious grin. He knew I can't do anything while I was sat in front of them, while I was sat in front of Thea.

"Just a little trouble, funny story acctualy Kay -" He started but I cut him off by cupping his jaw and smashing my lips straight into his. He was quick to kiss back by wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer.
