Kai was woken up by Zane shaking him, he groaned and mumbled something. He forced his tired body to leave the bed. He crawled out of the room, dragging himself around the house to the kitchen. There he saw Lloyd and Nya looking over a map and Zane making breakfast. "Hey sleepy head, how are you feeling?" He groaned in reply, "Nice to know. How about you help us out here." Kai forced himself to stand up properly and walked over to his sibling and friend. "What do you need my help with?" "We need to find the mountain from the story. Where do you think it is?" He scanned the map, looking for a mountain. "I think the place where the wolf was might have been the mountain." Lloyd circled the place that Kai suggested. "At least we have one idea." Kai went to his boyfriend and helped him make breakfast, although he couldn't do much since he sucked at cooking. He mainly watched his lover, once he saw that he was finished, he tackled him and peppered his face with kisses, Zane squealed in surprise. Lloyd and Nya watched on a smirk on their faces, "Get a room you two!" Zane started blushing, and Kai laughed at how cute he looked. He pulled himself off of his boyfriend and watched as he tried to calm his blush. "Where's Cole?" The three looked between themselves, "He's sleeping, he needs it, especially with what happened yesterday. Which reminds me, could you wake him up for me, Kai?" The fox's ears drooped. They all knew how bad it was to wake up Cole especially after a bad day. He left the room and approached the bear. He was silently sleeping on the couch. Kai crept towards him and quickly poked him. He stirred a bit but didn't wake. He repeated it again, and this time he did wake. He woke up with a start and glared at Kai. "Hey, you need to get up. Breakfast is done and once we've eaten we're leaving for the mountains." The bear groaned, "I know buddy, I feel the exact same." Kai went back to the kitchen and watched Zane hand out breakfast. Cole dragged himself into his seat, he laid his head on the table and dozed off. Zane gave him a small smile and woke him up with a light shake. He groaned and Zane placed food in front of him, Cole stared at it for a few seconds and pushed it away. "Hey bud, you want to eat something?" Cole shook his head. "Wow. For the first time in forever, Cole doesn't want to eat anything." He growled in return. "Come on Cole. You must eat, you need as much energy as possible to climb the mountain." He shook his head, "No, Kai. I'm not hungry." He got up and went back to the couch. Kai watched him go. Zane turned around, confused. "Where did Cole go? I thought he was sitting there." "He got up and went back to the couch." Zane sighed, "It must be hard for him, without Jay. They did everything together." "I know, I know." He glanced over to his friend. It broke his heart to see him like this, he hoped that the myth that Lloyd told them was true. If not... he had no idea what it would do to Cole. Nya and Lloyd came up to them, "Is breakfast ready?" "Yep." The both of them rushed to their seats and began shovelling down the food. Kai snorted at how funny they both looked. "Do we know where we are going after you've eaten?" Nya nodded, and finished eating. "We just need to pack a few things, like tents, food and ropes. Then we can go." "Got it." "Kai, you need to eat too." He blushed from embarrassment. Zane handed him a plate of food and Kai sat down next to Nya. She laughed at her blushing brother, and received a hit to the head for it. They both glared at each other and Lloyd watched on, definitely amused. Zane flew up onto the table in between them,he gave them both a death glare and they both stopped immediately. Zane smiled to himself, then grabbed his own food. The four of them ate in silence until all of them were finished. Once they were finished, they parted ways, to get food, tents or ropes. Since Lloyd was the newest, he didn't know where anything was, so he let the others handle the packing. While they were doing that, he decided to talk with Cole. He seemed really down, but no one could blame him. He sat down next to the bear. He saw him staring at his paws. "Cole? You ok?" No reply. "You want to talk about it?" "It's all my fault... I hope your story's true, Lloyd. It's the only bit of hope that I have left." "I hope so too. Things have been quiet without him around." Cole nodded. "You know when we are leaving?" "Yeah, the others are packing the things we need. Once they are done, we're going. Oh and one more thing. We've only got one idea of where the fountain could be. Do you have any ideas? Kai's already suggested the mountain where we found the wolf." "I can't think of anymore mountains. But your story mentioned a cave, right?" "Yeah." "Well I can think of a cave but it's not in a mountain. Maybe if the mountain doesn't give us what we need, we could go there?" "Sure, do you know where it is on the map?" "I think I can remember." The two of them looked over the map for a few minutes when Cole finally spotted the cave. "There." He pointed at it and Lloyd circled it. "We'll check it out if the mountain doesn't work." Just then the other three came into the room. "You guys ready to go?" "Yep." Cole was going to nod, but realised that they had all forgotten one thing. He rushed out of the room and into his own. He saw the small bundle of blankets. He felt the tears rising again, but he held them back. He picked up the bundle and kept one blanket wrapped around him. He placed him on his back and walked back out of the room and to the others. "What did we forget-Oh..." They gave him a sad smile. "We ready to go?" They all nodded. "Then let's go." The five of them exited the house and went down the slide that Jay had built. Together they walked to the mountain, their hopes high.
