The five of them tied a rope around each of their waists, Cole tied Jay to his back, just to make sure that he didn't fall. Zane grabbed their first aid kit and led the group up the mountain. Since he could fly, he could spot any dangers while the others were climbing. They climbed up the path to the cave, and Kai stole a glance inside. Zane flew onto a rock a bit higher up the mountain and made sure that it was a safe path for the others to climb. Once they had all caught up, he flew up again and landed on another rock. He watched the others climb, making sure they were safe. But while he preoccupied with the others, he didn't pay attention to what was around him. A leopard crept up behind him and was prepared to pounce when Kai alerted his boyfriend of the danger behind him. Zane spun around and caught the leopard in the act. The leopard realised he was outnumbered and crawled away, before they could attack him. Zane made sure that everyone had caught up before he flew up again. He focused on his friends but this time,he also kept and eye out for any danger near himself. While he was making sure that he was safe, he didn't notice that a rock was loose and Nya was standing on it. The rock broke away and Nya fell. She screamed in fear and begged for the rope to be able to hold her weight. She was just dangling in the air, if the rope snapped, she had a long fall down. She couldn't reach any rocks and the others would put themselves in danger if they tried to get to her. Zane made sure that the others were at the rock that he was at. Then he flew down to Nya and pulled her up onto the nearest rock. Once she was on the rock, he stayed by her side until she reached the rest of the group. Then he flew ahead and saw the peak of the mountain, and there was a cave. He got excited, maybe this was it. It had to be. Once everyone had caught up, he showed them. "Guys look, there's the peak and there's a cave too." "Oh, thank God. This'll all be over soon." Zane flew up to the peak and waited for them all to catch up. Just as they were nearly there, Cole felt the rope on his back loosen up a bit. He stopped climbing and checked on Jay. Sure enough, he had slipped a bit. Thankfully Nya was behind him, so she tightened the rope for him. He gave her a silent thanks and carried on. They had all reached the peak and poked their head inside, it was too dark to see anything. They carefully crept into the cave and waited for their eyes to adjust to the darkness. Once they had they walked through the cave. Keeping an eye out for the fountain. Lloyd walked around and nearly fell into it. "Guys! I've found it!" They all came running and sure enough, there was the fountain from the myth. They helped untie Jay and laid him down next to the fountain. "Should we just push him in the water?" "I think so." This fountain has been used before by humans and always worked. However, it has never been used by animals. No one knows what it'll do. I am warning you, just let your friend rest in peace and leave now." "We haven't just climbed this entire mountain just to go back down. Besides you said no one knows what it'll do. It might bring him back. And I'm willing to take that risk." Cole gently pushed his boyfriend into the fountain and it seemed as if nothing was happening. Then suddenly, there was a blinding white flash. They felt dizzy as if the whole cave was spinning. They collapsed to the floor and it became too much for any of them to handle. They all passed out, unaware of something coming out of the water.
