Lavadia Cole's Point of View.

I woke up at 4 am to take watch with Silver. Titus didn't really want to let me go, but he eventually released me. Now I sit cuddled up to Silver in the blazing heat of the desert. Sweat rolls down my forehead and down to my chin, dropping off. Being so close doesn't help with the heat, but its the only time we have to be intimate.

He looks out over the rocks as he strokes my hair, which makes me smile. I snuggle closer as the stars blaze over head. Silver gently kisses my head and whispers careful not to wake the others, "We should run off together." I look up at him from his chest with a confused face. "Now?" He smiled and nodded, "Yeah! Kill them in their sleep and take off, no more Careers to bother us.. we could find a way to get out of the Arena together.." I took his words into consideration for a moment. "Silver..thats never been done before. I don't think we should be the ones to attempt it." He pulls me away from him and looks deep in my eyes almost in disbelief. "You..don't want to come out of this hell hole with me?"

I shook my head.

"You..you don't love me." He said more to himself than to me as he dropped his hands from my shoulders and looked back over to valley.

"I didn't say that." I protested pulling his face to look at me. "I do love you, SIlver. But thats the problem. It has to be me or Titus to come out of this Arena. My mother...." I stopped myself before spewing my guts on camera.

He waited a moment as for me to continue but I changed the subject "And besides. We don't know what the terrain will change to in the morning."

Silvers eyes raked over me and breathed "I do."

I looked at the side of his face, and spoke "What? How?"

He lifted his arm and pointed off to the distance. A small blue flower was blooming from in between the cracks. "It's going to be a meadow." He said simply dropping his arm back to his side. He inched away from me and pulled his legs close to him, laying his chin on his knees. I frowned and reached out to him, but he recoiled. "Silver.." I whined as I pulled him to me, enveloping him in my arms as he just stared up at me with a painful poker face. "Please don't do this to me.." I pleaded as I braced my hands on either side of his face, His head in my lap. "Do what?" He asked dumbly.

I felt my mouth droop lower and my eyes began to sting. His cold eyes immediately softened as my tears fell on his cheeks. He placed a hand on the back of my head and pulled me down to meet a pair of silk lips.  I pulled away from the beautiful boy and looked into his Blue eyes, searching for some solution.  It looked like the stars reflected in his eyes as the Silver flecks danced all around in his Irises. I bent over once more and kissed the tip of his nose, causing his mouth to twich into a soft smile. "Why can't  I stay angry at you?" He asked taking a strand of my blond hair and twirling it around his finger. "They same reason I can't stay mad at you." I replied with a small grin. His eyes trailed back out over the valley, still in my lap. I took a quick glance behind us, and seen Sapphire curled up safe sandwiched between Titus and Talon. Silver jerked from my hands and began to walk to the growing 'meadow'. A few flowers of multiple colors sprouted up from different places, even splitting up through the rocks. Silver bent over and picked the blue flower he pointed out and began to twirl it in odd ways. After he was satisfied with that he gently placed it in his pocket and walked around and picked the flowers that were waiting for the sun. When he had a hand full he walked over to me, kicking rocks as he went along. His muscles peaked out from the tight black wife beater they put on us. I smiled as he bent down in front of me holding out the flowers with a childish grin splayed on his face. "Thank you." I laughed taking them from him and smelling the pleasant intoxicating sent. "I have one more gift, If you'll accept it." He said placing a hand on my knee. I nodded as he pulled the blue flower from his pocket careful not to undo the intricate knots. He switched his legs around until he was on one knee and took my left hand. Confused I knitted my eye brows together as he looked into my eyes and asked "Lavadia..while we were together this short amount of time, I've grown to love  you more than anything. I know thats crazy, but its true. I can't get you a real ring like I want to, but this flower will have to do.I know this may not be how you do it back in your district but.. will you marry me?"
