                                     Photo Is Of Zenobia

The axe glistened in the sun, sharp and deadly.

But the bottle of pills burned in my hand, boring a hole in my palm.

I have to give these to Lavadia, now. Who knows what they could do?

there is no dying.

Not yet, at least.

The axe came down hard, cutting the wind, causing a whistle sound.

The once sweet girl had a animal blood lust in her eyes.

Yanking the knife from my belt, I kicked her in the gut, sending her back wards with a painful grunt.

Hitting the ground with a thump and another grunt I tossed the knife, missing her rolling body by mere inches.

A soft noise alerted me to another presence, one that felt static.

Deadly.

Frantic, My head whipped around just in time to see Zenobia yank her bag from the table.

"Heavy! I wonder whats in it!" She yelled with fake glee in her voice, almost masking the underline cynical tone.

Almost.

"Ugh." Sagitarria moaned as she lifted herself to her knees.

Bringing her left arm up she nursed her stomach, gripping the axe in her right hand.

"I will win." She mumbled to herself, locking her burning eyes onto mine as she stood, to her feet.

"Well look at this!" Zenobia screamed, pulling out a set of knifes from the bag.

Shit! couldn't have been some sort of medicine?!

She examined the belt  a moment and pulled a knife from the left pocket, twirling the deadly blade in her hand.

She caught the hilt and smiled at her reflection, opening her mouth and running her tong the length of the blade.

A line of blood dripped from her mouth onto the blade, filling the chinks and holes.

"sharp." She nodded, quickly snapping her head up, as if she just noticed we were here.

"Long time no see." She laughed to me, "Didn't think i'd have to be the one to kill you, Silver."

Dont move.

Do not. Move.

"Yeah, didn't think i'd end up fighting you. Always though Lavadia would have taken you out by now."

Her smile widened, "Until you knocked her up, huh."

She hurled the knife to me, splintering my skin, and lodging into my left arm's bone.

Showing no sign of pain my body stayed ridged, even with the burning pain screaming at my nerve ends.

The laughs continued, but my attention was devided, the larger part on the newly born animal next to me, Sagitarria.

"I can't die.... Not now. Cedar's sister will want to know what happened... she has to know. I have to see my family. I have to go home."

With those simple words, the conflict in her eyes settled.

A certain type of serenity glazed her face as her arm drew back, wielding the axe.

But in this moment, it wasn't directed at me, which gave me a split second to myself.

This knife had to come out NOW.

My lungs screamed with fresh air as my palm gripped the hilt.

One.......

I slowly wiggled the blade, trying to un-hing it.

two........

My eyes rushed my surroundings, my jaw tightening.

three......

In a quick upward motion I yanked the blade from my arm.

I let a slight out hail of pain escape as the axe left Sagitarrias hand, and flew to Zenobia.

Following example, I threw the knife, hitting target.

The axe was embedded into her abdomen, as the knife in her forehead.

A shocked look came over her, as she took the axe from her stomach.

"I... I'm not dead. I'm winning. I have to win."

I sat in silence, as did district 7 as her hand found the handle of the axe, yanking it a few times to loosen it from her belly.

The grotesque sound of the blade forced my body into a cringe.

"If I die...YOU GO WITH ME"

The blood blinded me, the pain disorienting me.

Screams erupted, lifes shatter.

Death brings its self upon us.

Who dies today?

Sagitarria's voice echoed off the walls of my mind, as Zenobia screams more.

The sound of Lavadias voice sounded in my imagination, behind blacken eyes.

The world collapsed from my sight, nothing but cold aloneness greeted me at the thresh hold of life and death.

Was this my demise?

God I hope not.

These pills.

I have to give them to Lavaida.

The pool of blood below me felt curdled with hate, and regret.

I sat in my own pool of life for what seemed like a eternity.

Only until gentle hands found me, and tears splashed on my face.

"Your child."

I smiled.

"Artemis...I like that name, don't you?"
