Chapter Eleven
Some people's hearts are bigger than others. It doesn't and shouldn't matter by the race, sexuality, or age of a person to show how lovely that person is. Some people are even younger than ten and they could be considered the the most kind hearted person. Other than George,Parker was probably even more kind hearted. He was there for him when others weren't. He was there for everyone if they gave him a reason to be there. He would give compliments and make everyone's day.
"His only downfall was his sexuality and even that wasn't terrible. What's terrible is that people would start shit just because he was different and for that Parker, I am so sorry. You are looking down on all of us ashamed. I want you to be proud. I want you to be happy where you are but it is so fucking hard."
By this point Reece's voice is barely there. His sobs are all in full effect as a song plays softly in the background. He sings along with it a little.
""A song for a heart so big. God wouldn't let it live. May angels lead you in. Hear you me my friends. On sleepless roads. The sleepless go. May angels lead you in."
Keith pushes pause and then starts to drive again, "I want to know what happened. What happened fully that night."
Keith was a parent that wasn't just being protective over his son but his does deserve answers. Reece left this CD for him because of it right? He knows Keith would do something and get some authorities invovled. He is resposble adult.
Phil shakes his head, "let's just get food first please. I am starving and I feel like I will puke if I do such a gut full story on an empty stomache."
It was clearly an excuse but Keith understood. Maybe he too should have something to eat before he finds something out abut Reece he didn't know. Even though he has already found out a lot.
They get to the diner that not many people go into so it is an understanble place to be in for such a weird occasion. Keith could see it now. The waitress asking what the occasion if for and seeing this is the Collins father and clearly this isn't the Collins son. He would depict on either saying: 'oh nothing really. Just a special day' or going all out and saying "oh my son is missing and he left me this note and CD to listen to because he wants justice for not only him but everyone around him because he is either teaching a lesson or he has taken his own life already."
Keith wanted to stay silent when it came to the waitress so they just ordered. Lucy having crayons to keep herself occupied. Keith does feel terrible that his daughter has to go through this with him even though she doesn't know what is going on at all.
Phil doesn't order much but when the food is there and they are eating is stayed silent. All of them and even including Lucy, they all think the same thing: where is Reece and is he okay?
Should they call everyone? Should Keith call Reece's mother?
No. Not yet. She would be terrified and demand a flight there to California in a heartbeat. She wouldn't be able to handle it as good as Keith is.
He feels like he is going insane as he s running everywhere.
After the food is fully done Phil started.
"Reece was a great friend don't get it all wrong. He was great. He was decent. I guess I just didn't deserve his friendship and I thought Parker didn't either but Parker deserves everyone's happiness. It's just some people didn't deserve his-"
Reece got in the car. Phil stared to drive. He looked in the back after Parker saying he knew the roads like basically the own feeling of his own dick. He laughed and then looked ahead again. It was true. Phil knew this area so well and he knew where he was going. Anywhere which was more safe.
