It was six o'clock in the morning, and with the spring sun in the sky, it was a day where it felt good to be alive. You had never thought of yourself as a morning person, usually still half asleep before your coffee fix at 9am; yet, lately you had been making the effort to be a lot healthier. Including getting your rest, eating better, and exercise. Yes, exercise. As in going for a run before breakfast.

The first couple of weeks had been the hardest, waking up and falling into your running gear and shoving your hair up into a messy bun, and hiding behind a huge pair of sunglasses. Yet, as the days went by and you got into a routine, you noticed there were others doing the same as you, people who started to greet you as if they'd known you for years, who gave you a smile and a nod if to say "Keep up the good work!"

As you felt your body receive results from all the effort you were making, you gained more confidence and slowly took a little more care with your appearance when you went out. Nothing much, but you made sure to always brush your hair least. You were now part of the community, a regular figure, along with the other runners you had come to befriend in the last weeks, and it felt good.

Everyone was on a first-name basis, and those that you didn't know where the people you saw from time to time- enthusiastic beginners who didn't last more than a few days before deciding running wasn't for them. So, of course, as soon as a new person regularly crossed your path on your usual route, your curiosity was piqued.

You had first noticed him one Sunday morning, the quietest day of the week. You knew most of your running buddies had Sunday off, choosing to stay home with families, perhaps looking after parents, or travelling to friends. But there was nothing for you back at your apartment. Running had brought you a freedom you had never experienced before. You were able to detach yourself from your solitary life, away from your tiresome accountant job, and into a mental state of peace.

As you start to turn the corner onto Westminster Bridge, you couldn't help but noticed the long set of legs stretching against the rails, and the owner who they were attached to. Slowing down slightly to steady your breathing, you took a good look, only to find the man's face was well covered. Sunglasses hiding what would surely be beautiful eyes; a cap pulled down, but not so far down enough to see the smallest wisps of curly hair escaping the edges; and an extremely baggy hoodie which tinted at a toned body until all the fabric. Yet, there was still something about him that made you straighten yourself up, suck in your stomach and put a smile on your face as you tried to catch his eye.

He was oblivious to everything as he looked out over the Thames River, his earphones in, taking in the beautiful sunrise. You carried on your route and quickly forgot the stranger. Until, the following Sunday, when you saw him again, in exactly the same spot. You had forgotten about him, your week filled with work and extra tasks you had.

Yet, there he was, looking exactly the same as he had the previous week, looking off into the horizon. Yet, just as you leveled with him, he turned to face you and greeted you with a 'Morning', before running off in the direction you had just come from.

That 'morning' stayed with you the whole week, peeking into your thoughts at random times during the day. His voice had been  like tempered chocolate that runs smoothly and tantalizingly over a marble surface, making your insides tremble a little as you recalled it.
