the ambulance quickly came since the school nurse is out for a seminar. as soon as they got in, yoona called his mom.

"auntie, jaemin fainted and we're on our way to the hospital," she says as calmly as she can, "what!? text me the address, i'll come over quickly."

the call ends and her fingers frantically types the hospital's name and prays for jaemin to be alright.

she gazes over at jaemin's face and she frowns. they arrived at the hospital and he was rushed in the er, tears are flowing out of yoona's eyes and she couldn't calm herself down.

she sits down waiting for him, "please don't tell me it's about his memory."

soon after, jaemin's mom arrives at the hospital and quickly hugs yoona and her tears flowed out as soon as she felt mrs. na's arms around her.

"i'm sorry for not taking good care of him. his hyperthymesia is not doing well these days and i think this is one of the reasons why he fainted. i should've brought him here earlier to get him checked up," she sobs, "i'm so stupid."

"stop blaming yourself, yoona. you did nothing wrong, and i'm sure jaemin will be fine," his mom caressed yoona's back.

yonna stayed for a bit in the hospital since she was so worried, she kept biting her lips and she absentmindedly peeled the skin by her nails.

she just stared at the wall.

"yoona!"

yoona averts her gaze to the direction of the voice and saw her mom running towards her with teary eyes

"oh, mom," she said with despair.

"i heard what happened. is jaemin okay? are you okay? honey, please tell me," she kept caressing yoona's face and head.

yoona smiles lightly, "no mom, i'm actually not okay."

"oh dear. where is jaemin?"

"he's inside with auntie, he's still passed out," she points to the door.

"aren't you going inside?"

she sarcastically smile and shook her head lightly, "no, i feel guilty. how can face him?" yoona stared at the floor and the memory of jaemin passing out filled her head again which made her shut her eyes close.

"what do you mean? it's not like you wanted this to happen, yoona. wait here, okay? i'll talk to jaemin's mom and we'll go home it's already late." her mom stands up and enters the room.

yoona sighs and tears runs down her cheeks once again. she didn't expect that all of this will happen, she thought that jaemin was fine. yoona felt guilty not checking up on him that she was just thinking about herself and all.

yoona kept looking emotionless on her seat, people might think that she's the patient rather than a visitor.

her mom comes out together with jaemin's mom. the both of them looks serious it's as if they want to tell yoona something that might hurt her emotionally.

"yoona come here," jaemin's mom weakly smiled at her.

mrs. na explaines situation carefully to yoona. and after that, yoona and her mom went home.

yoona came out from her bathroom and sits on her bed as she recalls the words jaemin's mom said to her before they went home.

"nana, this might shock you but we have to tell you for you to understand the situation. you see, jaemin's condition is not as the same as before," jaemin's mom caresses yoona's hair before continuing.

a tear left from mrs. na's eyes, "jaemin can't remember recent events, he only remembers stuff from when he was young until he was 13 years old."
