"Disney Police! Don't move!" I yell again. Our gun barrels are on the same level. I stare him down, not breaking contact.
"Amber!" I hear Ashton yell as he, along with the other team runs to back me up, their guns drawn as well.
"Way to keep cover," I hear Garth mutter under his breath.
"Drop the weapon!" Candy yells, her shrill voice dropped with seriousness. We all stand with confidence, ready to shoot if we need to.
"Break!" The father yells. All of them run toward the rest of World Showcase. We all stay back, trying to come up with a plan.
"Garth, Fatima and Luke, evacuate the park, and tend to the injured, if any. Candy, Chantel, and Amy, you guys take that side of the bridge," I say, pointing toward the right side. "Ahston and I will go the other way, try to get them cornered in China, move out," I say.
We all take off running. Luke, Fatima and Garth, being the sweethearts that they are, politley ask guests to clear out, having most of them go out the World Showcase way. They look alert, ready to take a bullet if necesarry.
"One wounded!" Ashton yells, getting down on the level of a fallen woman, her family gathered around her.
"Ma'am, what way did they go?" I ask her, Ahsotn starting to aid to her.
"That way," She says, pointing toward the Mexico Pavilion.
"Got it, thank you. Think you can handle this alone?" I ask Ashton.
"Yeah. I'll take her to entry at world showcase, call it in. She got a bullet would to the leg," He says.
"Copy that," I nod, walking to the temple. "All units, be advised, I am heading to the Mexico Pavilion, a victim said they went in here,"
"Stay outside!" I hear Mark's voice say in my ear.
"But what if there are hostages?" I ask, feeling anxious to get in there.
"It doesn't matter! I can't have a fallen soldier!" Mark argues.
"Cut the marriage therapy! We have a hostage situation!" Fatima argues.
"Yeah, thank you for siding with me on this one, Fatima," I say, slightly annoyed.
"I'm not on your side. I just want you to stop arguing before we all go deaf in the ear that our communicators are in"
"Oh come on! Ahston, don't you think that I should go in? I need a pearson to approve my actions!" I beg.
"Sorry.... Can't talk.... Carrying victim to a bus," He says, struggling with his words.
"I'll approve you," A squeaky voice says in my ear.
"Who?" I ask, unable to identify the voice.
"Ummm... Garth?" He says.
"Garth, don't you dare!" Mark growls.
"Why shouldn't I?" He snaps
"Because, we don't know if they're armed, or if they have other weapons. Wait for back up," Mark says.
"Please, Mark," I beg.
"No, I'm sorry. You're a valuable part to this team, and we can't afford to lose you, especially in an attack," He explains.
"It's out of protocal for you to be arguing right now! Mark, you can take her shield right now, if you'd like," I hear Candy's snarky voice in my ear.
"No one's shield will be taken, everyone calm down!" Mark almost yells.
"Amber, can you wait five seconds?" Chantel asks.
"Yea. Why?"
"' Cause we're right here!" She says, the rest of her group walking up.
"Fill us in," Candy orders.
"Female vic took a shot to the leg. Ashton's carrying her to a an ambulance right now. She says they went in here," I say, gesturing toward the tall temple.
"Got it. Do we know about any hostages?" Amy asks.
"Not known at this time. Maybe some cast members, maybe some guests,"
"Should we make the call?" Amy asks, really asking if we should call in there, trying to ransom the hostages.
"Call it in," Chantel says.
"Copy that," Candy says, reaching for the phone in her pocket. "This is the Disney Task Force. Do you have, or are you a hostage?"
"I'm a hostage," The voice on the other end says.
"Do you work for Disney?" Chantel asks.
"Hi," Ashton whispers as he walks up.
"Yeah. I just entered in," She almost wheezes.
"Ok. Are there any other people in their?" I ask, starting to pace.
"No, just cast members," She says.
"Ok. Help is on the way," Ashton says.
"We're going in, I'll take the entrance," Chantel says.
"I'll come with," Amy says.
"I'll take shops," Ashton says.
"I'll take ride," I announce.
"And I'll take the restaurant," Candy says.
"Why don't you come with me? I'll be right next to it!" I say.
"Because, we need to cover every corner!" Candy says.
"But I'll be right there," I argue.
"But you don't know the Rats like I do!"
"You know as much as I know!"
"I used to be a Rat!" Candy yells.
"What?"
"I used to work for the Rats. Mom discovered me, and I came here to give intel. Please, I wanna be like you guys, I wanna serve, so please let me,"
"I'm so sorry, Candy,"
"It was my choice, you shouldn't feel bad. May I do the restaurant?"
"Go ahead, break!" I yell, and we run away.
We run in, not prepared for anything. I walk about the attraction. I carefully examen the animatronics. I can't do this on Jungle Cruise.
I start zoning out. Snap out of it, Amber! Get focused, there could be casualties. I walk out to the entering area, making it back stage. I rescued the hostages, letting them out. They all made sure to thank me. I was just getting back when- Bang.
"Hey traitor!" The mother yells at Candy.
Candy lunges at her, pinning her to the ground. Amy bonds her hands together with zip ties. The father runs out, firing his weapon. A bullet grazes over my hair. Chantel tackles him to the ground. The son comes out, arms raised.
"Smart move," I say, handcuffing him.
"Coward!" The father yells.
"Shut up!" Candy says, kicking his face.
"Ow!" He says.
"Wait... we're missing someone," Chantel says.
"Looking for me?" The girl yells from atop a roof. We all aim our guns toward her. I can't find Ashton. She keeps her hands steady.
"Drop The weapon!" Amy yells.
"You think I'll do that?" She chortles.
"Okay, who the heck chortles?" I say. She gives me a dirty look.
"You'll regret that," She says, fiddling with the trigger. It gets pulled back, and fired. A blur with blonde hair runs past me.
