"Ashton!" I scream as he falls down.

I grab him in my arms. I can't see blood, but his suit must cover it. He groans, and I brush his hair out of his face. His eyes are hardly open, but they're open. The others quickly snag the girl, and take the others out. They all quickly gather around.

"Umm... Amber," Candy says.

"Sh, sh. Ashton, can you hear me?"

"Yeah, I don't have much time left," The others start laughing.

"Guys! This isn't funny!" I yell.

"Amber, I'm too young to die," Amy starts rolling on the floor.

"What is so funny?" I ask.

"Oh you'll find out soon..." Candy trails off.

"You didn't have to do that," I say to Ashton's future corpse.

"I did. I will never let a solider take a fall," He groans.

"But that's what you made me do,"

"Amber! You really need to know that-"

"If you guys are gonna let him die, just leave," I say.

"You're not giving him CPR," Candy says as they walk out. Shoot. I forgot first aid.

"Where'd she hit you?" I asked.

"It doesn't matter, it wouldn't work,"

"Don't talk like that,"

"I'm sorry," He groans, and sighs. His body lays numb, in my arms. I start crying.

"Ashton!" I screech. I grasp his hands, beginning to cry. "Please don't do this!" I yell. "I love you,"

"Amber," He groans.

"Yes," I sniff.

"You know are suits are bullet proof," He says.

"Oh my God!" I yell, hugging him. He hugs back. "Why would you do that!" I yell, slapping him in the arm when we break away.

"Because, I didn't want to ruin your magic," We both share a laugh. "Do you really love me?"

"Umm... I mean... uhh..."

"I wouldn't have a problem with it, because I might like you too,"

"Then I do like you,"

"Great. The feeling is recipricated,"

"Are you really okay?" I ask, helping him up.

"I'm fine, don't worry,"

"I'm just checking,"

"Let's go out, I know the others wanna know what went down,"

"They were having a jolly good time, weren't they,"

"They were," He says, and we walk out. They all stare at us.

"We like each other, deal with it," I say. We all walk out, listening to the applause while doing so. "This is awesome," I grin, thankful for our disguises.

"Yeah, it is," Ashton grin. We all go back stage, and head to the meeting room. We all stand there, and wait.

"Ashton. Amber. My office. Now," Mark growls when he walks in.

"Nice to see you too," I grin, sitting down with Ashton.

"What the heck happened out there?" He asked.

"So you saw it," Ashton says.

"And heard everything. Listen, I'm all for hound love, but not in this workplace," Mark says. "I get it, you two really like each other. But you can't when you're saving lives half of the time. I'm sorry, it's against the rules. Either lose the feels, or one of you'll lose your badge. Got it?"

"Yes sir."

"Affirmative," We both walk out. Mark walks in the opposite direction. Ashton takes out my ear piece as we walk down the corridor. The day is over, and we both can get out.

"Can we talk?" He asks.

"Can It wait until I get all of this off of me?" I ask, gesturing towards my disguise.

"Yeah. Yeah of course,"

"Great," I say, walking into costuming. I get back into regular cloths, and walk out. Ashton's waiting for me.

"Hey," He says.

"Hey," I grin.

"So... I know that it's against the rules or whatever, but... do you maybe wanna... never mind. It's stupid,"

"If you're asking me out, I'm free tomorrow, day about 6-ish. Wanna grab some Casey's Corner?"

"Yeah, that sounds good. Great actually,"

"Awesome. I can pick you up from work?" I offer.

"Yeah, sure. That sounds great,"

"Okay, see you then,"

"Yeah, see you tomorrow," He says, nudging my arm with every syllable.

"Bye!" I grin, turning around and walking down the corridor. And I can't help but feel like I'm going through a tale as old as time.
