"Scarllleettttt."

Jimmy's body crashed into mine as he picked me up and spun me around.

"Put her down, Jimmy! You're going to break her ribs again."

Brian laughed walking past us.

Jimmy set me down and pulled me further into the room.

"Hey guys."

I smiled going around and hugged each one of them.

"Not only was Brian and Jimmy's invitation not good enough for you, but clearly ours wasn't either."

Val joked. I laughed along with everyone else.

Johnny pulled me down onto his lap and put his arms around me.

I was just like a little sister to all these guys.

"I was kidnapped by Papa Gates on the request of his hormonal son."

I winked at Papa Gates who couldn't control his laughter and then I sent Brian a sly smile.

"Ha ha. Very funny."

Brian mumbled rolling his eyes as a smirk played on his lips also.

"Anyway I wanted to show Scarlett the song I wrote for her."

Brian sat down on a chair and started going through computer files to find the song.

"I believe this is our cue to leave."

Johnny said pushing me off his lap so he could stand up.

"What? Why?"

I pouted looking at everyone as they made their way toward to door.

"Because we have all worked so hard to make this song happen, especially Syn.

So we're just going to leave you two to listen to it together. We'll be back."

Zacky said shutting the door.

I sat back down on the couch.

"You ready?"

I nodded as he hit the play button.

The sound of acoustic guitars and drums filled the room before Matts voice came in.

A lonely road, crossed another cold state line

Miles away from those I love, purpose hard to find

My eyes snapped towards Brian whose gaze was firmly fixed on the ground.

While I recall all the words you spoke to me

Can't help but wish that I was there

My breath caught in my throat and Brian's eyes met mine. I let my eyes linger on his then looked away, playing with a loose thread on my top.

There's nothing here for me, on this barren road

There's no one here while the city sleeps

And all the shops are closed

Can't help but think of the times I've had with you

Pictures and some memories will have to help me through

I felt the tears fill my eyes as thoughts of Daniel filled my mind.

I looked at Brian through my tears. He was still looking at me with a sad smile on his face.

Some search, never finding a way

Before long, they waste away

I gave in, to selfish ways

Brian got up and made his way over to me. He sat down and pulled me against him.

The music stopped and the room was silent.

I wiped the tears from my face and sat up looking into Brian's eyes.

"Bri.." My breath caught in my throat.

"That was so beautiful."

He lent over and cleared my cheeks of tears.

"I cry a lot."

He and I chuckled as he pushed a stray piece of hair behind my ear.

"I wrote it based on how I would be feeling if I was in your position. But I guess now that you're not coming with us on tour for the first few months it's taken a more personal meaning for me."

I looked up at him and he had a small smile on his face. He seemed to get lost in my eyes for a moment before his face started inching closer to mine.

What about Daniel? You can't do this to him.

I cleared my throat and stood up abruptly.

"I uhh.. I'm gonna go grab a drink."

I made a swift exit out the door not once looking back at Brian.
