The woman screamed as the world around her began to go up in flames. The crys of the infants filled her ears. She looked at the purple light in front of her. A pair of hands from the other side reached out. She looked at her first born kissing her head smiling. "I love you sweetheart." She placed the baby in the hands of another. As the baby disappeared into the light she looked at her second baby smiling. A tear falling.  She looked up quickly eyes darting wide as the light flicked and inevitably shutting off. She gasped in fear. Lookig around the room. "No..." she looked around as a bang shook the small room. The small closet was he only place. She placed the child inside having no other choice. "My sweet girl. Just know you will never be alone in this world." Tears spilled over her face as she closed the door.

A man pushed the door open looking around. His lips pressed together in a thin line. He saw the body of the woman on the floor and wasted no time in dropping by her side. "Help is coming. You'll be okay" he resumed her alloying pressure to a large stomach wound. She gave him a fearful look "did you get them out?" He asked hesitantly. "One... only one..." she looked at the closet door before gasping. "Keep her safe... please" she drew a quick breath and began to fade from this earth. The man looked at the door standing up. He pulled the door open looking at the sleeping infant wrapped in blankets. He looked at he body nodding. "Until my dying breath." He picked the child up looking at her. "I'll keep you safe."

The man walked into a building looking at the men and women gathered around a table. "Why is she here?" A man with a deep voice demanded. "The portal closed. The other baby got through... I vowed to protect this one..." They all looked at each other. "What do we do." A woman spoke up looking at the child. "Someone needs to raise her." She elaborated "I will" another woman stepped forward lookig at everyone. "Are you sure?" She nodded taking the baby in her arms. "Does she have a name?" The man shook his head. "Alice never named the twins. In fear they might be found in the other dimension" the woman nodded looking down "What do we call her?" She looked around for a suggestion. "Lena." The other woman with bright blonde hair spoke up they looked at her "it means light." She smiled. They all nodded in agreement "Lena prince... I like it"

Meanwhile on another earth a man stood looking at the child in his arms. "Where's the other baby?" A woman rushed forward. The man looked up saddened by his actions. "The portal... it closed..." the woman looked down holding in a breath. The man looked down at the baby sighing. "She can never know. We'll save her the heartache of where she came from... and who she is..." the woman nodded stepping forward. "Tony. I'll take her... ill keep her hidden." He nodded having the sleeping child over "What will you call her?" He smiled fondly looking at the child. "Ashley... Ashley romanoff."

Present day (ashley)

A boy sat on a roof top. He looked around the streets below making sure everyone was safe. "Hey there stranger." He turned around. The mask covering his face couldn't hide his happiness  to see her.  "Ashley." She hugged her. "Soo. What's my favourite hero doing today" she slumped down with him legs dangling over the edge. He gave a small huff. "Not much. Just watching no one's in trouble so it's a good day." She smiled her white blonde hair tucked behind her ear as she watched the streets below. "Really parker. You keep starring I'm gonna write you a ticket." He chuckled. "I'm sorry. Your just... you..." a loud noise could be heard and the sound of metal moving Invaded the air. "Shit." They turned around "really. He's your favorite hero? I'm not your uncle or anything. It's fine" she laughed as Tony stark stepped out of his super suit looking at the kids. "Sorry uncle tony. I'm bias." He nodded looking at the spiderman in front of him "Hi kid. Look sweetie I think you just say that to make him feel better" she laughed crossing her arms over her chest "your right. My favourite hero is thor." She said with a dead pan voice. Both men started to protest gasping and making over dramatic hand gestures. "First of all he's a god. Not a hero. And second.  I'm your uncle!" Tony gasped gripping his chest "that hurts kid." Peter pulled his mask off. "I'm your boyfriend! That not fair" she laughed shaking her head. "Your both terrible"

"Your gonna be late!" Was the only words shouted through the house this afternoon as the teenager rolled over looking at her clock with a huff. 2:30. That sucks. she pushed herself up grabbing her jacket before running downstairs "why am I going to do this again?" She followed her adoptive mother out the house. "Because it's good for you to be with people your own age and not in your room alone. Plus I have a meeting" she huffed complaining the whole way to the tower. The moment she walked in she was met buy a ear piercing scream. "Lena!" M'gann ran over. I smiled "What rock have you been hiding under?"She smirked hugging me I gave her a smiled. "For me to know. Where is everyone. Please tell me it's just us?" She gave a hopeful smile before an arm was wrapped around me.  "No such luck sweetie" I cringed at wallys words. "Don't call me sweetie" he chuckled "sweetie" I heard the familiar voice of dick greyson and cringed a little more. "Serouisly?" He laughed only to stop when a book was launched at his head. "I thought we agreed no telekinesis outside of battle?" I shrugged walked to a chair and slumping down "you agreed I explicitly said no and fuck you." I gave him a charming smile and put my feet up
