I don't know how or when it happened, but it did.
I began noticing my shadow in positions it shouldn't have been in. This went on for a while before I realized it looked like it was struggling, like it was struggling to get away from me.
I did my best to ignore this, but it became too difficult when every time I walked through the kitchen it would reach for the knives.
And then, one day, it happened.
My shadow finally broke free. It didn't go very far. I still catch glimpses of it roaming through the halls of my apartment, but it tries hard to avoid me.
Normally, this is fine, but recently it's started sneaking into my room when it thinks i'm asleep. I've also discovered a few knives have gone missing.
Other than that, not having a shadow is fine.
