The high ceilings and the amount of people there at the venue trying out and waiting for their chance to become K-Pop idols was incredibly daunting.

As Jimin walked around the place, unable to take his eyes off everything around him, his heart pounded in his chest. So hard, he could almost hear it. How was he going to do this alone? And against all of these people, was becoming an idol actually even realistic?

Before he knew it, he bumped into a really pretty girl who looked as lost as he was.

Both apologizing profusely, Jimin realized he had knocked her down, and his face turned red as he helped her up. "I'm so sorry," he told her over and over again. "I am so sorry."

She shook her head, forgiving him right away. "No, it's really alright. I'm sorry, I should've been paying attention."

They both stood there awkwardly for a second, the girl tucking her hair behind her ear and Jimin rubbing his arm.

Jimin cleared his throat. "Um..... so, are you trying out today?"

"Yeah, I am," she said, smiling. "What about you?"

"Yeah." He smiled back at her. "So, whats your name?"

"Kang Seulgi," she told him. "What's yours?"

"Park Jimin. It's nice to meet you, Seulgi."

She smiled wide. "You too, Jimin."

The proctor in one area called, "Park Jimin," and read his number through the microphone.

Jimin looked over at Seulgi. "I guess I better go. See you later and good luck." He bowed to her.

She bowed as well. "Good luck and thank you." He started to walk away, but Seulgi called him again. "Yah, Jimin-ssi!"

He spun around again at her beckoned call instantly. "Yes?"

"Thank you for being so nice. It's a little scary being here for the first time alone with no one I really know. I've been anxious too, that I won't get to be an idol."

"Of course! Thank you for being nice to me. I hope we can talk later. Actually..... would you want to give me your phone number?"

"Sure! I don't have my own phone yet, but you can call my family's phone at home that we share."

"Me too."

And with that, they exchanged numbers, and went their separate ways. Little did they know they wouldn't see each other for years to come.
