"Can I see my room?" She ask quietly.
"Yeah of course. I was wondering when you were gonna ask to see it!" He said with a smile. She smiled softly back. He started to get up and walk away but he looked back and she wasn't following him.
" What's wrong?" He asked noticing she was still on the couch.
" I kind of need help... to walk. I don't have all my strength back yet. Or powers..." He saw a hurt look on her face. She put an arm around his shoulders and he wrapped his arm under her. He slowly helped her off the couch and out of the kitchen into the hallways. "I'm guessing they made my room into a storage room. That would have been a wise idea." She thought to herself. When they reached her door he felt her tense up.
"You okay?" He asked in a worried tone. She nodded. He slowly opened the door and they slowly walked in. What he saw made her eyes tear up. Everything was the same. Her bed, all of her books... Everything.
"You...You Guys didn't get rid of anything? After a whole year?"
" No. We always knew one day we would find you and you would come back. You're the strongest person on this team. Even without your powers. We knew whatever took you couldn't bring you down." She looked at him with tears in her eyes. She pulled him into a hug. She hugged him tightly as tears fell down her cheeks onto his uniform.
"Thank you.." She said, though it was muffled by his shoulder.
"You're welcome." He said softly. He buried his face in her hair. She still smelled like strong lavender. One tear slid down his cheek. He had missed her so much.
After a few moments they pulled away and he helped her sit on the bed. She laid back and smiled. She missed the feeling of her bed. The smell and her soft blankets and pillows.
"I bet it feels good to be back." He said.
"Yeah it does." She said as she sat up. She looked at her bookshelf and saw all of her books. It made her happy inside.
"Can you go over there and bring me one of my books?"
"Sure." He sat up and walked to the bookshelf. "Which one?" He asked.
" I don't care. Pick one."
He grabbed a random book off of the shelf and handed it to her. She slowly opened it to read it.
"So I guess you would like to be left alone now? When you open a book that's what that means." He said with a smirk. She grinned back.
" It's like you read my mind." He slowly got up.
" Yell if you need anything." He said before walking out. She took in the silence as she opened the first page.
