You sit on the sofa with your drink in your hands watching drunk people stumble around or dance with each other and you can't help but miss the presence of Hayes
You spot one of his friends, Matt, so you walk over to him 'um by any chance have you seen Hayes?' you ask concerned 'looking for an easy girl for the night probably' the words shock you as your mouth forms an o 'what do you mean? I'm his girlfriend' you shout as Matt's face drops 'I thought you were involved' 'involved?'
'there's no easy way to say this but you're not a real couple, it was a bet but we all thought you were in on it' Matt says, his eyes filled with sorrow whilst tears brim your eyes as your glass drops to the floor smashing but you just run off, your chest feels too big for your heart and as if the pain is too much for your chest and it's going to explode at any given time
You find Hayes in the kitchen 'hey baby-' 'don't you dare call me baby, I just found out this was a dare' you point towards the both of you 'you make me feel sick' you spit out and turn on your heel leaving him but he follows slowly behind 'look I didn't mean to hurt you' 'hurt me' you laugh 'this is doing more than hurting me' you add as the tears now roll down your cheek
You chest rises and falls in a fast pace over a thousand times before anyone speaks 'but what if I say that I've fallen in love with you?' 'that would clearly be a lie then wouldn't it, just like this joke of a relationship' you speak calmly trying to remain strong after wiping the tears off your cheeks 'it's the truth' he mumbles but says it again proudly 'I am in love with you y/n, I don't care if it started out as a dare because now it's real, I fucking love you please don't let one mistake ruin this' 'I just can't do-' his soft pink lips smash into yours as he smiles into the kiss as you can't help but kiss back
You pull apart from the kiss 'second chance babe?' 'yeah but one thing and done, got it?' he nods yes and pulls you in for another kiss
