Your dad pulls your mum back 'stop making a fool of yourself' he says through gritted teeth 'when my baby is happy I'm happy and most important, there's going to be little feet running around soon so let's not stress the baby out before it even gets out' he adds pulling you in to a hug 'also' he directs to Matt 'hurt either of these two' he gestures to you and the bump 'then your dead but other than that welcome to the family' he smiles and pulls him in for a hug

You and Matt were in the kitchen making some dinner for you both and your parents when you hear someone clear their throat 'look guys I'm sorry, he clearly makes you happy and it was honestly just such a shock, I admit I overreacted and I apologise for that but that's me, I've always been the dramatic one and you know that! All I'm saying is congratulations, I guess i was worried but not anymore, I can see the babies room and all the effort already from you both and how you've got everything from the pram to the nappies' tears roll down your cheek and you look over at Matt who's eyes have now got a bit glassy 'thank you mum' you engulf her in a big hug and kiss her cheek
