*Edward's POV*

I don't know how it happened. I don't know how it started. All I can remember was her asking me random things about us as if it doesn't ring a bell. Here I am at an ice cream shop with the love of my life. Staring at her while she's happily enjoying her chocolate mint ice cream.

"Yes? Edward? May problema?" She asked. I shook my head and gave her a smile.

"Nothing. So, what are you asking me again?" I asked back. She made a gesture as if she was thinking really hard.

"Umm...yup. Just want to ask if graduate ka na?" Here it goes again. She's been asking these question for some time now. I can't even count on how many times I already explained it to her.

"Yup. Sabay tayo grumaduate, May." I replied. It's still fresh in my memory when we consulted a doctor about her case. We were all shocked to hear that she has an early onset dementia. For goodness sake, we're only in our early 20s. It is heartbreaking to know and to even experience firsthand that your best friend for almost 8 years, your girlfriend, and your future wife is slowly losing her memories.

"Oh. Sorry. Nakalimutan ko na naman. Sobrang makakalimutin ko na. Baka mamaya makalimutan ko na soon to be husband na kita" She laughed a little bit. Maymay is aware of her condition but chose to brush it off and take it lightly, however I can sense that she's nervous as well about her future, our future.

"May, can you promise me one thing?" I took her right hand and hold it close to my cheek.

"Yup?"

"Promise me that no matter what happens, please...please try to remember me." I begged. Call me selfish but I still don't know how to take this.

"Promise. I'll try my best to remember you Ed." She replied and gave me that sweet smile, however I saw sadness in her eyes.

I know that it is impossible for her to remember me when the time comes she completely forget everything.

If only I could slow the time. . .

if only I could do anything just to make her remember me.
