Edward's P.O.V
I'm currently in front of her dormitory, waiting for her. Seriously, we're gonna be late. Haaay. Edward John, hindi ka pa ba sanay?
"For pete's sake, Marydale Entrata. Late na naman tayo." Finally, after an hour of waiting.
"Sorry talaga. Hindi ako nagising sa alarm ko." She apologized and I just rolled my eyes.
"What's new? Lagi ka naman hindi nagigising sa alarm. Kung siguro nasusunog na yan dorm niyo, baka nasunog ka na." I told her as I opened the car's door for her. Yeah! Chivalry is not dead.
"Tumawag na sa akin sila Marco. Kanina pa tayo hinahanap ni Jacob. There's a new article that we need to cover para sa next issue ng school paper." I informed her. We're actually part of our university's student newspaper. She's a photojournalist and i'm a writer. We're both in charge of the literary section. I heard her letting out a deep sigh.
"Siguradong hindi na naman sapat ang mga sinubmit ko sa kanya. Bakit ba kasi ako lagi ang nakikitaan ng mali ni Jacob? Di ko magets ang lalaking yun." She ranted. Seriously, tama sila, manhid talaga siya. She doesn't see nor feel that Jacob likes her. Nakakatawa man isipin but even my feelings. I don't know if she's not really aware or iniiwasan lang niya talaga. We've been best friends for almost 10 years. I know. I get it. I'm in a deep trouble for falling in love with my best friend. But, what should I do? I can't help it. If only I could stop this feeling, matagal ko na sigurong ginawa.
"Di mo pa rin ba napapansin? May gusto sa'yo si Jacob." I told her and she just gave me her "are-you-joking" laugh.
"Edward, patawa ka naman. Nakita mo naman ang init ng dugo sa akin ng lalaking yun. Tapos may gusto? Funny ha." She shrugged the thought of it.
"By the way, may next literary piece ka na ba?" She asked and I nodded.
"Patingin ako mamaya. Kung wala ka pang cover photo para sa piece mo, sa portfolio ko na lang ikaw kumuha." She suggested. Well, most of my literary pieces' cover photos ay galing kay Maymay.
"You're my radiant sun and blue skies.
Staring into your almond-shaped eyes.
Brightening up my day with your gleaming smile,
Can't get enough of it even just for a while.
You're my silver moon and dazzling stars,
Your gazes are like pigments over-painting my fading scars.
And now because of you,
I can finally forget the word blue. "
"Grabe bai! In love na in love ka ata." Maymay commented after reading my entry. Marco looked at me and smirked.
"Okay. Agree na ako na sa portfolio ka ni Maymay kumuha ng cover photo for that entry. Kayo na bahala mag-usap about diyan." Jacob said and I just nodded.
"We have to prepare for the next issue guys since it's our university's foundation week. Magiging matrabaho ang next paper. We have to cover all of our events. I'm going to upload in our group's dropbox yung mga assignments niyo. I think we're done for today. Thank you for coming guys." Jacob explained. We're all packing our things after the meeting when Jacob called Maymay.
"May, can we talk?" He asked her and she just nodded. They went outside and Marco looked at me.
"Bro, I think he's gonna confess now. I heard him talking to Ysa kanina." Marco said. I wonder how will she react. I know that she's not ready to talk about relationship and even courtship. She already built a wall or maybe she already turned her heart into stone after her last breakup.
