It was Saturday. The last three days were dream-like. Stefan had called and asked to meet me and so the last three days we met in my house. We had drinks and played games and watched movies. I know I should have given more thought to the circumstances in which we met but I didn't.
Well Saturday meant household chores so I did some laundry and cleaned up my room.
Suddenly my phone rang. And nowadays whenever my phone rang my heart went all berserk.
"Hello," I said.
"It's me, Stefan," he replied.
"Ohh, hey Stefan," I said.
"Are you free tomorrow?" he asked.
"Yes I am. Why?" I asked.
"I wanna take you somewhere," he replied.
"Where? " I asked.
"It's a surprise," he replied.
"I hate surprises," I muttered.
"Well I'm not gonna tell you and it's still gonna be a surprise so suck it up," he replied.
"Okay," I replied.
I heard a commotion on his end. I heard the words 'I didn't mean to shoot... accident' distinctly and the call ended.
Who shot whom? What accident? Okay that was weird.
*Beep**Beep* I was brought out of my thoughts.
Stefan called me back.
"Hey, sorry about that. I'm with my family and they're not the quiet type," he said.
"Oh, it's okay," I replied.
"So, I'll pick you up tomorrow night. Bye,"he said.
"Okay. Bye," I said.
And as I cut that call I saw the text from Ryan saying-
Picking you up tomorrow night. Be ready.
Shit... I had totally forgotten that. What was I gonna do now? Should I cancel Stefan? But he said he had a surprise. And even though I do hate surprises I was curious. But then again Ryan asked me first. Now what? So, I took out my phone and texted Stefan-
Sorry. Can't come tomorrow. A friend invited me. Gonna pick me up at night.
I did want to go with Stefan but I had promised Ryan. I had work to do so I kept these thoughts for later and went back to cleaning.
