Kiera's P.O.V:

"Goodmorning, babe," Stefan murmured kissing my forehead. I could smell pizza. I smiled. He had been bringing me breakfast in bed too often. I mean lunch. I was going to get fat.

"Stefan, if you keep bringing me lunch like this I'm going to get fat," I said with a grin. He kissed my forhead again.

"I don't mind you getting fat," he said. This guy... I love him.

"I love you," I muttered. He smiled at me and I fell for him again. This really was like heaven. I never thought I would be so happy. Stefan had turned my life into pure bliss. I just hoped we would stay this way forever.

Stefan's P.O.V:

I was closing the window when I noticed movement outside Kiera's house. I peaked through the curtains to get a better view. The sun was to set so there was still some light left outside. There were a few guys in black clothes on motorcycles. I counted. 8 guys. They looked familiar. Uncle must have sent them. They probably came to pass some information. But my doubt cleared just as one of them took a revolver out.

I felt the adrenaline rush with my blood as I realized I was in danger. What was worse is I was putting Kiera in danger. I went to the bedroom fast.

"Stefan, have you seen my hairdryer?" she asked when I entered.

"Kiera, I need to tell you something," I said. I didn't want to frighten her but I couldn't downplay the situation either.

"Yes honey, tell me," she said.

"Kiera, there are some people outside your house and they are here to harm us. I think uncle sent them. They have guns. Please don't freak out. I'll protect you," I said.

"Stefan, what are we gonna do?" she said with clear fright in her voice. I hugged her. I couldn't bear seeing her anxious.

"Baby, I have a plan. But you have to listen to me," I said. Then I told her my plan. I told her to go out the back window quietly and start her car while I go out the front door and run to my car. I told her to drive to her parents house and to not stop on the way.

"Stefan, you're not being the bait," she said as soon as I told her I planned on out-chasing them.

"Kiera, I'll be fine. Besides I'm not completely sure that they want to harm us. They won't hurt me. They are angry that I left the gang for you. You are the one in danger. Please listen to me. We don't have time," I told her. I begged her with my eyes. Her's glistened with unshed tears. She was afraid for me. She was afraid of losing me. This girl... I love her.

Suddenly there was a knock on the front door. Her eyes widened and she looked at me.

"Back window," I mouthed to her. We both went and silently crept out through the back window.

"Kiera, if you start your car they will notice it. So, right when I get into mine, count to three and start your car. If our timing is same, they won't notice hopefully. I will drive in the opposite direction to your parents house. You leave after they start following me. I'll call you then," I told her and ran to my car.

"There he is!" someone shouted and I heard engines being started and saw headlights blaring. I got into my car, counted to three silently and started my car. Kiera started hers at the same time so hopefully they wouldn't notice as her's was parked away from mine. I started driving and looked into the rearview mirror. 9 motorcycles were behind me. I had miscounted.

I dialed Kiera's number as I crossed the speed limit. They were still following me. She picked up after two rings.

"Kiera, you okay?" I asked.

"Yes honey but I'm worried. Are they still following you?" She asked. Her voice was laced with worry.

"Yes baby but I will be fine. You go to your parents house and stay there. I will come back after shaking them off," I told her.

"Promise me you will come back safe, Stefan Salazar," she said and she sounded close to tears.

"Kiera, I promise I'll come back safe. Promise me you will stay safe too honey. I love you," I told her.

"I promise. And I love you too," she said.

"They are gaining speed. I gotta go. Bye, princess," I told her.

"Bye Stefan," she said. God, she sounded so scared. Like it was the last time she was talking to me. I felt sorry now for what I had planned. But I had to keep her safe. I couldn't bear having her in danger. The only way to make uncle stop was my death.

*Bang**Bang* Those bastards were shooting now. I increased speed and took a turn to a road to avoid the bullets even though my car had bullet proof glasses. Then I suddenly decreased my speed and two of them stopped infront of me. I tried to run them over but they got out of the way. I kept driving till they fell back.

Inigo Salazar's P.O.V:

I sent some of my men to kill Stefan. He was of no more use to me. He had left us all for that girl. It was better that he died. That way I wouldn't have to give him any share of the Salazar property.

My people were on the phone with me, giving me updates. According to them, Stefan had got into a car and driven off. They were chasing them and shooting too.

"Boss, he took a turn. We are still following him," Brian said.

"Okay, make sure you get him," I told him.

Suddenly I could hear an explosion on the other side of the line.

"Boss...," he muttered.

"What?" I said. I was irritated. Why couldn't they just have finished their job when Stefan was home?

"Boss, Stefan's car just got flipped and blew up. It's on fire," he said.

"Is he dead?" I asked.

"Boss, we checked the car though we can't get close. The fire is too big. No one would survive such an accident," he said.

"Okay, come back to the mansion," I ordered and put down the phone. He was finally dead, I thought. With that comforting thought in mind, I went to sleep.
