Beams of sunlight danced through the cold cafeteria leaving a feeling of warmth in its path. I opened and closed the lid to my grapes causing a pattern in sound as my thoughts drifted endlessly.
"Alex?" Stacy's voice echoed throughout my head.
"Alex?" Her voice grew louder.
"Yeah?" I quickly shot my head up looking at Stacy sitting across from me.
"You okay?" Stacy asked once again.
"Yes." I looked down while opening the container filled with plump green grapes.
"You sure? Jess and I went looking for you after you ran out and couldn't find you anywhere." Stacy asked concerned , while stabbing her mini carrots with the fork.
"Yeah, I got a ride home - and I just walked out yesterday because I wanted to punch Melissa. " I said smiled at Stacy.
"Yeah, I know how that feels." Stacy nodded as tried to kill her mini carrots.
There it is again! I know there is something...but what? Should I ask her? I'm glad I'm not that carrots right now. Eww I don't really like carrots, they have no taste. Alex. Stop.
I shake all the thoughts in my head. "Hey!" Stacy said with a smile on her face while Jess came to sit next to her with a guy I didn't recognize.
"Hellō." Jess sang the 'o'.
"Alex , I would like you to meet Jackson. His the host of tomorrow nights party." She said pulling Jackson down next to her.
"Nice to finally meet you Alex." Jackson said with a smirk on his face.
"You too. " I nodded, continuing to eat my grapes one by one.
Jackson had short dark brown hair, with a light 5 o'clock shadow, he gave off the usual bad boy vibe, but what intrigued me even more was that Jess's smile was wider then normal when she faced him , admiring what ever he does, making it a little obvious that she likes him.
"So are you coming ? " Jackson asked catching me staring at them.
"Maybe. " I answered.
"Maybe what?" A voice from behind me asked.
As I looked to my right I saw Aiden greeting Jackson before sitting down next to me.
"Ladies." He gave a quick nod across the table.
"Hey Aiden. " Stacy said while turning a lite crimson color as I squinted my eyes towards her , realizing that she likes him which made me glad I didn't tell her that Aiden was the one who took me home yesterday.
Aiden smiled towards Stacy as he grabbed one of my grapes.. "Maybe what Alex?" He asked once again.
"The party tomorrow." I answered and tried to take my grape back but not before he quickly tossed it into his mouth.
"Cool, you guys going?" Cas joined the conversation as he came to sit on my left. He stretched over the table to greet Jackson and Aiden and then turned back to smile at Jess and Stacy, as he took one of my grapes as well.
"Yes, everyone help yourself to my grapes." I sarcastically said making the table laugh.
"So are you going?" Cas asked referring to the party.
