"There you are!" Stacy yelled over the music coming closer towards me. "Where were you?" Jess asked while the two of them stood next to each other. Their cheeks were flushed, unable to tell if it's from the dancing or the alcohol. With full saucer eyes from the lack of light in the room they awaited a answer.

"Like I said, At the drinks table." I smiled while my eyes darted between my two best friends.

No good comes from lying, but no good can come from this truth.

"Okay come on we found her, can we go now?" Jess asked, nearly spilling her drink turning towards Stacy.

"Go where?" I squinted my eyes taking out my phone to catch the time.

"The bathroom, I've been waiting for almost an hour." Jess widened her eyes turning back towards me while simultaneously shoving her drink into my hand.

"Fine, can you watch our drinks please?" Stacy asked holding her cup towards me. I gave a nod taking her drink as well.

"We'll be right back." Stacy added before following Jess through the room.

I walked back sitting down on a chair that stood at the one side of the room while holding the two drinks in both my hands.

My eyes drew heavy , unable to stop the burning feeling of fatigue catching up.

"Sup." A low scratchy voice greeted while he sat down on the chair on my left. "Hey." I turned to see Jackson.

"Congratulations on the win, by the way." I added while my daze lazily laid on the crowd.

"Pfft, you should congrats Castiel -if it wasn't for him we won't be celebrating." He laughed taking a sip of his cold glass bottle of beer.

"Yeah." I murmured helpless to the feeling of guilt.

This is my fault, I shouldn't of lead him on, I knew I wasn't ready for any type of relationship.

"By the way, you haven't seen Jess anywhere?" He asked turning towards me seeing the two cups of beer in my hand.

Of course that's why he's here.

"She'll be right back." I flatly answered.

In the moment of calm silence he stayed restless. His leg nervously pumped, while he endlessly licked his lips. Every now and again he would look over to me as if his about to say something, but each time aborted.

"Can I ask you a question?" He quickly asked almost falling over his fast words, before he could stop himself.

"Sure." I said slightly turning towards him.

"Uhm..." He nervously took another sip of beer. "Let's say hypothetically." He blinked and turned towards me. "Yeah?" I nodded.

"If I would ask someone out. Let's say maybe Jess , hypothetically." Lifting his eyebrows he made it clear it's only a hypothetical.

"Of course." My serious face couldn't help but crack a smile.

"Do you think..." He took a deep breath while slowly working out his words. "She'll maybe say yes?" His face grew a little concerned eagerly waiting my thoughts.
