Emma woke up to a knocking on the door. She laid up to find Mary Margret opening the door. "Regina, can I help you?" Mary Margret asked. Regina burst through the door. "Where is Miss Swan?" Regina asked in an angry tone. Regina looked around the room then spotted Emma. Emma got out of bed and faced the angry Regina. "Can I help you?" Emma asked. "Miss Swan please tell me why you have not left my town yet?" Regina asked. "Well, first thing, it's not your town, and second I am staying a while." Emma said in a confident voice. "Well, then you better stay away from my son. Yes MY SON! Not your son, mine." Regina responded. "Look, I am staying away. He just keeps coming back to me. Have you wondered why he keeps coming to me Regina?" Emma asked with lots of attitude. Emma looked into Regina's eyes and saw her face turn white. Then Regina slapped Emma right across the face. Regina had hit her so hard her hand was stinging. "You better stay away from my son!" Regina said then marched out the door slamming the door shut.

Emma stood there just looking at the closed door. Mary Margret was in the back with her hand over her mouth with a shocked face. "Oh my God Emma, are you okay?" Mary Margret asked slowly walking up to Emma. Emma just stood there with an expressionless face. "Yea, I'm fine." Emma soon responded. Emma walked over to the kitchen, made a bowl of cereal and sat there in silence, while she ate it. Mary Margret was worried for Emma. She never said a word. Mary Margret didn't want to make things worse, so she walked out to go to work without saying goodbye.

Emma was so furious with Regina, she couldn't even think right. She soon took a deep breath, and let it go. She cleaned the house and watched some TV. She thought to herself, "What am I supposed to do all day while I stay here?" She thought and thought, then boom an idea came into mind. She grabbed her jacket and rushed to her car, she then drove down to the police station. She walked in the quiet building. Most of the lights were off, and it was really cold. She then saw a little office where David was sitting. She walked in and a big burst of warm air it her face. David stood up. "Well, hello Emma. Can I help you with something?" David asked in a calm voice. "Yea! Well I am staying in Storybrooke for a while, and I was wondering if I could possibly get a job here?" Emma asked. "Well, it is quiet around here, and I guess I could use some help. Sure you can work here!" David said with a big smile. Emma was almost shocked. She thought it would be a no. "Well, thank you!" Emma said. "Yes, you start tomorrow. Be here at 8 am!" David said. "Thank you! I will be here!" Emma said with a big smile, then soon walked out.

Emma was so filled with joy she had to tell someone. She went to the school as fast as possible. When she arrived Mary Margret was in the middle of class and saw Emma. She saw Emma, and went to the hall. "Hello Emma, is something wrong?" Mary Margret asked. "NO, I just wanted to tell you I got a job at the station, and I needed to tell someone!" Emma said with joy. "Emma, that's great!" Mary Margret said, and hugged Emma. "Sorry Emma, I would talk longer, but I got a class. See you at home!" Mary Margret said. She rushed back into the class, and started to teach.

Emma slowly walked down the hallway, and thought how weird it was that David didn't ask any questions, or even ask for an interview. Did he trust Emma that much? The thought rushed through Emma's mind. Then an idea popped into her head. She wanted to tell Matt, but to Emma this was a big deal. She wanted to almost surprise him in a way. So she pulled out her phone and started to text Matt.

Hey Matt! Hope your day is going good. I have some news I want to share with you over dinner. Are you up for some burgers at the diner, around 7?

Matt was walking down the hospital hallway when he felt a buzzing in his pocket. He reached for his phone, and saw he had a text from Emma. He filled up with joy and a big smile crossed his face. He hadn't even opened the message yet. When he opened it, he had to read it again, he couldn't believe it. He was so happy. He responded to Emma right away.

Hello Swan! My day is going great now that you asked. I would of course love to go to dinner with you. Can't wait to hear the news! See you soon love.

Emma opened the text right away and smiled. She went back to the apartment and tried putting together an outfit that would look nice. Emma was never really a girly girl, but today she was. She didn't know what to wear. Finally after about one hour she had an outfit. Semi skinny jeans, with lots of bling, and simple light blue shirt. She got into the shower, and took a really long one. She was nervous. Why? She didn't know. She had already been on a date with him. When she got out Mary Margret was sitting, reading a book. Emma came out in just a towel, and her hair dripping wet. "Emma, what are you getting ready for?" Mary Margret asked. She made Emma jump. "Oh my god! I didn't see you there. Well I have a date tonight." Emma said with a big smile. "Really? Cause....well I have one too!" Mary Margret said. She put her head down almost as if she was ashamed. Emma was shocked by the way she said it. "With who?" Emma asked. "Well....." Mary Margret started then the door opened. It was David. Emma and David made eye contact and Emma ran back to the bathroom. Mary Margret giggled. David stepped back into the hall covering his eyes. "I am so sorry!" David cried. "It's alright David, she gone!" Mary Margret replied.

Emma was so embarrassed of what just happened. Emma thought David was married. She looked at the clock to see it was 6 and she hadn't even dried off yet. Emma quickly dried off, did her hair, and then make up. She put her clothes on, and it was already 6:45. She walked to the door, then saw a note.

Emma, I will talk to you about David and I later! Have a great time on your date!

Love Mary Margret!

Emma didn't think about the note at all on the way to the diner. She was mostly thinking of Matt. She wondered what Matt was thinking. She got out of her car and went into the diner. She sat at an empty booth. She got there a little bit early, but right away was nervous he woulnd't show up! When the clock struck 7:01 she panicked, but right then Matt walked in.
