It had been two months since you came to Hogwarts. Two months since you started to learn magic. And two months since you became good friends with Draco. You were his partner in all your classes and you two had mostly been inseparable. It had also become more fun to mess with Potter and his friends since you had both mastered all the basics and were moving onto more stuff in your lessons. Professor Flitwick had taught your class Wingardium Leviosa before he taught Potter's class. You'd make their books levitate and fly away from them in the library and sometimes even steal food from their plate in the great hall, to be thrown at someone, whenever you'd walk past them. Needless to say, they'd grown tired of you and Draco. Physically and mentally.

It was Halloween, the great hall was filled with floating pumpkins instead of the usual candles and there was a sweet smell of baking pumpkins. Your first lesson was Transfiguration and Professor McGonagall had moved on from turning a match into a needle as everyone had done it. You were the first out of your class to do it completely, gaining slytherin ten house points. Of course she did take five away the previous lesson as you kept trying to light your match - comparing it to Ron's hair - instead of turning it into a needle. Draco thought it was quite funny, Professor McGonagall definetely did not. She was currently making everyone write down extremely complicated notes before she gets you to try and turn a mouse into a snuffbox in a few lessons time.

After Transfiguration, it was DADA with Gryffindor then double History of Magic with Ravenclaw. Once you had gotten through these lessons, you could relax as you had no more for the rest of the day.

It was finally time for the Halloween feast in the great hall and you were there before most people. You sat on the side closest to the wall whilst Pansy and Daphne sat opposit you. Draco walked in with Crabbe and Goyle behind him a few seconds later. He spotted you and walked over, sitting next to you whilst Crabbe and Goyle sat opposite. Earlier, you heard from Pansy and Daphne about Hermione refusing to come out of the girls' toilets, which you thought was quite funny.
"Draco, have you heard? Granger has locked herself in the girls' toilets. She's crying and refuses to come out. So, I went down and personally paid her a visit. Though, She was being quite rude as she just ignored me after she told me to 'Go away'." You did a deliberately horrible impression of her as you said the last part, earning a small chuckle from Crabbe across the table.
"Typical. She must have realised that she doesn't belong here." Nodding your head in response to Draco, you notice the food had appeared and you started helping yourself. However, you had barely even filled your plate before your Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher - Professor Quirrell - ran into the great hall. Stopping half way in in a panic.
"TROLL! Troll in the dungeons!" He stood completely still, everyone silently panicking.
"Thought you ought to know." He fell to the floor, landing with a thud before every student was in utter panic.

You screamed before struggling to get out your seat, especially with Draco pushing to get out first. The panic was abruptly stopped by Dumbledore and everyone stood in silence as they watched him. You were shaking slightly, you had heard stories of trolls but had never actually had to deal with one.
"Prefects, lead your houses back to their dormitories!" You crossed your arms, slightly more angry then scared as he said this - as most other Slytherins at this point.
"But our dorms are in the dungeons! What are we meant to do? Hand ourselves over to be murdered!" You cross your arms as you slowly follow the other Slytherins.
"How about we sneak somewhere until the troll is gone?" Draco whispers this in your ear as you both walk slowly. Nodding your head in response, both of you stop for a moment so you can be at the back.
"Yeah, but where would we go?"
"How about the astronomy tower? I heard it's the tallest tower at Hogwarts. Third year Ravenclaws and Slytherins are meant to be having a lesson up there but I don't think they will be now." He smirks and you nod your head once more.
"Lets go!" He grabs you by the wrist and you two somehow manage to actually sneak away without anyone noticing.

When you both reach the astronomy tower, you run up the stairs to get to the balcony. There is a slight breeze, sending a chill down your spine and blowing your hair lightly. You hold onto the railing infront of you and look out towards the forbidden forest. You point over to it then turn to look at Draco.
"Why do you think the forest is forbidden?"
"I've heard there are things like werewolves and acromantulas in there."
"Acromantulas? Sounds like something I'd hate to come across. I hate spiders so much." Draco smirks and stands next to you.
"How much for you to stay in there for a night next time we have a school break?"
"More than you can afford." Both of you laugh as you continue to look out into the forbidden forest, guessing what else could be in there.

A while later, it had gotten quite dark and you were quite tired.
"Should we go to the common room now? It's getting rather cold and I'm sure they've gotten rid of the troll. Or realised we're missing." You giggle as you walk towards the stairs with Draco following.
"Sure."

You had both gotten back to the common room without being spotted, Draco said the password and when you got in, only your brother was there. He looked both worried and angry when he saw you.
"Where were you? I thought you'd gone missing! Or worse!"
"Oh, me and Draco were at the top of the astronomy tower." Draco just slips past you and your brother and quietly goes up to his dorm room to leave you two alone.
"Why? You couldn't have told me before you went sneaking off with a troll on the loose around the school?" You cross your arms and rolls your eyes, sick of your brother already.
"Well, the troll was down here in the dungeons so we thought we might as well take our chances and have a little fun. I'll make sure to request in advance if I ever want to do something like this again. Don't you worry, Rincewind." You stormed away to your dorm, pushing him with your shoulder, leaving your brother to feel sorry for himself.
