Daphne, Pansy and you were sat awake for hours on your small, four poster bed. The three of you were mainly just talking about all the stuff you were going to do during your time away from Hogwarts and promising that you would send each other letters. When you had managed to go to sleep, it was past midnight. Meaning that when you woke up at 8:30 the next morning, you were very tired. You managed to drag yourself out of bed and get dressed just in time to have breakfast. Once breakfast was finished, you had two hours to finish getting ready and board the Hogwarts Express. The time seemed to pass quickly and before you knew it, you were boarding the train.
You stood on the platform as the train arrived before going on board with Pansy and Daphne. You found an empty compartment and walked in, sitting at the window with Pansy and Daphne opposite you. As you looked out the window, you saw Draco, Crabbe and Goyle run onto the platform and onto the train. You guessed that Draco had only finished packing as he hadn't started last night. When Draco was on the train, you saw him stop outside of your compartment and slide the door open before sitting down next to you. With Crabbe and Goyle following soon after, Crabbe sitting next to Daphne and Goyle next to Draco. Pansy smiled slightly as Draco walked in.
"Are you excited for Christmas, Draco?" You looked over your shoulder at Draco and could immediately see the look of pain on his face. Every time Pansy has tried talking to him, he's gotten out of it because of you. But this time, he would have to sit and deal with it. Draco will have to deal with her talking to him non stop for eight hours.
"Yes." Draco's voice was full of spite and you could tell he was genuinely annoyed.
You let out a little giggle and Draco turned to look at you then at Crabbe before kicking you in the shin.
"Ow." You stopped laughing and rubbed your shin slightly before crossing your arms. The train started to slowly pull out of the platform and began the long journey to King's Cross. You sat with your cat lying in your lap, as Draco kept trying to ignore Pansy. It was rather funny.
'Draco, would you want to come over to my manor for Christmas next year?'
'Draco, have you gotten me anything for Christmas?'
'Would you like to have my present I got for you?' Pansy would go on and on, asking question after question. This was probably the longest she's ever talked to him. Draco literally wanted to be anywhere but where he was.
"Draco, what did you get for Christmas last year?" Draco sighs and ignores Pansy.
"Would you like to spend some time at my manor, Y/N?" Draco turns his head to face you as Pansy's jaw drops. She's a bit annoyed that Draco ignored her to talk to you.
"Sure. Your manor is only a short walk away from mine isn't it?" Draco nods his head and out of the corner of your eye, you can see Pansy glaring at you. Even though you were her friend, it did make you laugh. The rest of the eight hour train journey was full of conversations between everyone, excluding Pansy. It seemed that she was in a bit of a strop with you as she kept glaring at you every now and again. You had no idea why, it's not like you were trying to steal Draco from her. Like he was her's in the first place. He hates her, he told you so himself.

The train finally arrived at platform 9 3/4 and you smiled as you caught your mother's eye and you both waved to each other. You saw that she was standing with your father and Draco's parents. You followed Draco off the train with your luggage and walked towards your parents. They both hugged you and you saw that Draco's mother was also hugging him. You saw your brother walking towards all of you before your parents hugged him too.
"How is Hogwarts dear? You haven't told me enough in your letters!" Your mum says this with a big smile on her face as your brother walks away with your father as well as Lucius. They seem to be talking about something important so you ignore it. Draco's mother, Narcissa, smiled at you before speaking.
"Jadis, how about you and your family come over to our manor for tea? I'm sure we could hear them talk about their time at Hogwarts there." Your mother looks at you then back up at Narcissa, smiling.
"Of course, that's a wonderful idea. I'll go tell Eliphas to drop the children's luggage off at home." Your mother walks off with your cat in her cage and your luggage. Narcissa held out her arm before your mother quickly walked back over to the three of you. Draco and your mother held onto her arm and so did you before all of you apparated to Malfoy manor. It was a huge, beautiful building with five floors. Large windows - some with balconies - covered the front of the manor and behind you, there was a long, wide path with large hedges on either side. The wide path lead to a road off in the distance. You turned back around and your mother took your hand, then led you inside the manor. The inside was just as magnificent as the outside. Shiny, marble floors, high ceilings and luxurious furniture. Narcissa led you and your mother to the drawing room while Draco ran up to his room to put his luggage away. It was a very large room with a long, black table in the centre stood upon a large, patterned rug. Many chairs were lined up along each side with a chair at each end as well. The room itself was very grand, two large chandeliers hung from the ceiling and a huge stone fireplace sat in the centre of the wall to the right of the table. The entrance to the room had two tall stone pillars either side that reached the high ceiling.
You looked around before sitting down next to your mother, who sat opposite Narcissa. Soon, a small house elf climbed onto the table carrying a pot of tea and a stack of seven fancy tea cups and saucers. The tea cups and saucers were placed down gently, one at the head of the table then three on either side. The tea pot was placed infront of you and the house elf stood, waiting. Narcissa cleared her throat before she spoke.
"That'll be enough, Dobby. Off you go." Dobby nodded his head before jumping off the table and walking out the room. Seconds later, Draco walked in and sat down opposite you. You poured yourself some tea before handing the pot to your mother and taking a sip from your cup.
"So, Y/N, I've heard that you and Draco have been getting along. You're in quite a lot of his letters." Narcissa smiled at you before she was interrupted by Draco.
"Mother, she's a friend. I tell you about all my friends in my letters."
"Of course, dear." You took another drink of your tea before your father, brother and Draco's father walked in. Lucius sat at the head of the table, your father sat next to your mother and Rincewind sat next to Draco. They each poured some tea into their cups.
"So, Lucius, have you heard? Harry Potter is attending Hogwarts this year." You and Draco immediately sigh and roll your eyes. You had both hoped to escape Potter since you weren't at Hogwarts. However, your father had just proved both of you wrong.
"Oh, father please, we have enough of him at school." You roll your eyes as you drink more of your tea.
"Yes, him and his mudblood friend, Granger." Draco gives his father an annoyed look before looking back at his tea.
"Mudblood? They still let muggleborns at Hogwarts?" Your mother seemed agitated as she spoke since she shared the same views as the Malfoys. You nod your head in response.
"Yes. People won't stop blathering on about how she's the 'Brightest Witch' and it is the most infuriating thing." Rincewind scoffs before drinking more of his tea.
"I believe Hogwarts would be much better without any mudbloods or half-bloods." Lucius says this before looking at Draco, who smiles at him.
"I agree father. Magic should be kept in all magic families. Don't you agree Y/N?" You nod your head as you put your tea cup down.
"Of course. Muggles just don't understand magic and are untrustworthy to keep our secrets. I wouldn't be surprised if Granger told all her muggle friends about magic, exposing us." Narcissa smiled at you whilst nodding in agreement.Once the seven of you were finished with tea, it had been about an hour and was quite dark outside.
"This has been lovely, but I think we should be going. It's getting rather late." Your mother stood up and so did you, pushing your chair in behind you.
"Of course, I'll lead you out." Everyone else stood up and you followed your parents and brother to the front door.
"We hope to see you all again soon. Hopefully before the children go back to school." Narcissa smiled before hugging you and your mother. Draco stood just behind her and watched as you walked outside and stood with your family before apparating to your manor.
