You were the first one in your manor to wake up and you sat on your bed for a few moments. It was kind of your family 'tradition' to wait until everyone was awake until you walked down stairs to open your presents. You sat on your large bed before walking over to your desk on the other wall by the window to write a letter. The parchment, ink and quills were already there as you began to write two different letters. One to Pansy and one to Daphne.

'Dear Pansy,

I am sorry if you were upset by Draco on the train but please don't blame me. You don't need to pretend that you weren't upset with me because it's quite obvious that you were, but hopefully still aren't.

I hope we can still be close friends and forget about what happened!

I'd like to know what you got for Christmas! Send me a letter before we go back to school!

(Y/N)'

Once you were done with the letter for Pansy, you set it aside before writing a letter to Daphne.

'Dear Daphne,

I've missed you so much since we left school for Christmas! You simply must tell me everything you got! I'm currently the only person awake right now and it's infuriating having go wait for Rincewind to wake up. He's been waking up at at least 12pm every day since we left school!

Anyway, I hope you have a good Christmas and I can't wait to see you on the Hogwarts express!

(Y/N)'

As you finished writing the letter to Daphne, you sealed both the letters in separate envelopes before giving them to an owl. The owl was in a cage that sat in the corner of your room next to the large doors that opened up to your balcony. You opened the cage door and handed the envelopes to the owl before opening one of the doors and watching him fly off into the distance. Quickly closing the door, you shiver slightly as it is very cold outside and walk over to your door, opening it.
"Handey? Handey!?" You yell for your house elf loudly as you are on the second floor, the top floor of your manor. Your room is the only one up there so no one can hear you downstairs. Thankfully, the little house elf with bright blue eyes hears you and runs up the stairs.
"Come in here and light a fire please." You open your door and point to the fire place on the other side of the room. The House elf nods before walking over to the fire place and clicking his fingers. Immediately, there is a warm fire and you kick the house elf out of your room before closing the door again.

It had been about half an hour since you had sat infront of the fire and heard a soft knock on your door. The door slowly opened to reveal your mother's face.
"Morning, (Y/N). Want to go wake up your brother and then we can open presents?" You smirked as soon as she said this and nodded before running down the stairs to the first floor and into your brother's room. Making sure to be very quiet as you made your way over to his bed and silently climbing onto it, standing up above him before jumping up and down as hard as you could. Surely enough, after a few seconds he had woken up. But you kept going, still jumping up and down as he tried to cover himself with his duvet. The only reason you stopped was because your father shouted on the two of you from downstairs. You had immediately jumped off from Rincewind's bed, making sure to take his duvet with you, before running down the stairs.

You had gotten loads of presents this year. Many more than your brother, which made you quite happy. But he didn't seem to care. The last present you opened was the one you got from Draco. It was a large black and green bow with white stripes. It was very long and pretty, you smiled as you tied up your hair before placing the bow on the top of your ponytail. The long bits of green and black fabric fell to the ends of your hair. Half of the day had seemed to had disappeared after the present opening and Christmas dinner.

You're sat infront of the fire in the drawing room, the bow still in your hair, as you admired some of your presents. You got many different patterned quills, which you intended to show off as they looked very expensive, along with various other magical presents. Surprisingly, you had gotten dressed, into light blue jeans and a large dark blue jumper. You and your brother were sat opposite each other, playing a game of explosive snap. Every so often, a card would explode in either you or your brother's hand, causing either of you to drop the card.

A few minutes had passed by before you heard the loud ring of the door bell. You quickly jumped up and yelled "I'll get it!" before running to the door. You opened it to see Draco and you smiled.
"Oh, hi Draco-" Before you could finish your short sentence, Draco smirked and threw two snowballs at you. One at your face, one at your right shoulder. You just stood, still holding the door open as you watched Draco run away, laughing. You sighed angrily before putting on your shoes, not caring about a coat or gloves before running outside.

He ran into the large garden to the left of the front door. You were quite cold but ignored it as you stormed your way over to Draco.
"Draco Malfoy. I am going to actually kill you!" You stand infront of him with your arms crossed, trying your best to look as angry as possible. Draco just shrugs before walking off.
"Come on, let's build a snowman before we go back to Hogwarts." You roll your eyes as you walk with Draco to a large part of your garden. Both of you start to roll large balls of snow. Halfway through making the snowman, Draco notices you wearing the bow.
"I see you're wearing the bow I got you. I'm not surprised." You giggle at how big headed Draco was, no change from normal.
"Yeah, it is quite pretty. I do hope you'll use the potions set I got you. I know you love potions." The snowman was finished and the two of you walked around your garden as you spoke.

"Have you written any letters to Daphne or Pansy? I've noticed I haven't gotten any from Pansy, thank god."
"Not that much. I wrote them both letters this morning, but apart from that we haven't talked all week. Pansy seemed quite upset on the train." Draco nodded in response, he couldn't lie that he felt quite happy to hear that.
"Oh well. Anyway, I better go home. It's getting dark and my mother doesn't want me staying out too late today." Draco walks off, turning around to wave goodbye to you as he walks home. Shortly after this, you run inside. Your hands are freezing from the snow, not to mention the fact that you were stupid enough to go out without a coat or anything.

You spent the rest of the night, and days off before Hogwarts, sat infront of the fire with a cold. Well done you.
