Kara was floating.
The environment around her was eerie...empty.
As her eyes opened, she saw everything around her clouded in a thick purple haze.
She tried to open her mouth to talk...but couldn't.
She couldn't move, she couldn't feel anything. Everything was numb.
"Kara..." A voice erupted from the haze.
"Kara Zor-El!" The voice got louder.
Kara saw a shape emerge in the distance...the shape of a man.
"The Last Daughter of Krypton..." The shape got closer, a loud clatter of metal followed each footstep.
Kara tried to move...
Tried to do something...
The man got closer, taking form with each step.
"...I may have been too late to acquire your world...but you and Kal-El will do just fine!" The robotic voice spoke as he reached his hand out.
Kara desperately tried to break free.
The hand got closer.
As the hand reached her neck...Kara cried out.
She opened her eyes to find herself lying on what felt like an operating table.
Light blared over the top of her as she tried to get up.
She looked down at her wrists and saw the problem...
Restraints were holding her down, and they were glowing green.
"Rise and shine, Girl Of Steel!" A familiar voice sent shivers down her spine.
Lex Luthor was now standing by her side with a huge grin on his face.
"What do you want with me?!" Kara's voice was filled with rage.
"Oh, it's not what I want..." Lex chuckled.
"...it's what he wants."
Kara was now puzzled.
"Who?"
Lex smiled, the same devilish smile she remembers from their previous encounter.
"You haven't noticed anything different?"
Kara scowled at him...and then realized what he was talking about.
She could feel something on her forehead.
"What have you done to me? What is that?!" Kara demanded.
"I would love to be able to say that it's an accessory of my own design but that credit goes to my employer." Lex was now pacing around Kara.
"Employer?"
"You see, I've made a deal with a very powerful alien who likes to collect things."
"A Luthor making a deal with an alien? Get real!" Kara snorted.
"As trivial as it sounds, Supergirl, the terms of the deal guarantee the safety of Earth. In return, he demands the Last Children of Krypton."
Kara tensed up.
"And who is this employer of yours exactly?"
Lex smiled again.
"I wouldn't worry about that too much, you'll be with him soon." Lex turned his back.
"Now..." Lex began.
"...my employer wants you in pristine condition before I deliver you to him. However, that doesn't mean I can't have a little bit of fun." Lex grinned.
