Chapter Two : Marshall Lee .

Fionna's Point of View

Gumball just assigned us our new mission , we're supposed to travel to another dimension into the Vampire Kingdom . What excites me the most is that , I get to finally fight vampires . I've always wanted to fight a vampire , ever since I was a little baby .

I thank Gumball for giving us this opportunity , but I am a little nervous . I'm supposed to get Gumball his amulet back from the Vampire King , and I don't know how the king is going to act ; I personally don't want to die , or get all of my blood sucked out of my system . So , let's just get this over with .

" Okay , are you guys ready ? " Gumball turns to Cake and me , with blushing cheeks . We both nod as he turns the portal on . Gumball is weird , in a good way . When we text , he acts completely normal but when I'm actually around him , he starts shaking and stuttering .

What if he doesn't like to be around me ? What if he finds me annoying ? I like Gumball , he's cute and really funny but I don't want to be the reason he acts weird . I understand that I may be a little younger than him but it's not much . I just turned sixteen , and he's eighteen ; that's two years .

What if he doesn't like hanging out with young teenagers ? It's understandable , he's an adult , and he has so much stuff going on with the kingdom . I wish he had more time for me , though .

I like hanging out with Gumball . It appears that he always has a new mission for us everyday , which I don't mind . I'll do anything to protect him from harm . That's my job , anyway .

" Fionna , are you coming ? " Cake taps my shoulder , as she steps into the portal . I can already see the dark , creepy scene from here . I blush and giggle , trying to get rid of my thoughts , and look at Gumball . He pecks my forehead and whispers ..

" Please be careful , Fionna . Marshall Lee can be .. a little too much " He hugs me tight , making me blush . He's much taller than me . I feel safe in his arms , which is a nice touch . I giggle and punch his arm playfully . " If you need help or if you're in trouble , call me through here " He puts a weird shaped necklace around my neck , there's a red small button in the middle of the charm . I nod , bow down and step into the portal .

I turn around as the portal closes , seeing the last of Gumball . I sigh as I look around . It's dark , the moon is out and it's huge . I can't help but feel attracted to its light , it's beautiful .

" Fionna , hellooooo ? " Cake snaps her fingers in front of me , taking me out of my trance . I need to focus on this mission , I need to stop daydreaming and pay attention . I can't disappoint Gumball , he's counting on me and I know that he really needs his amulet back .

Okay , Fionna .. You got this !

" Alright , this is what we're going to do " I say as I take out a map from my green bag . I scan the map thoroughly . Can I just say that this castle is huge ? It's bigger than Gumball's . " Gumball told me that the amulet should be in the king's room , right here " I point at the map as Cake listens closely . I look around , and start thinking about a plan . I need to get in there as fast as I possibly can , without being seen , get the amulet and go .

" Cake , I need you to distract the king while I get the amulet , can you do that for me ? " I cross my fingers , hoping she'll say yes . She looks at me with the most disgusted face ever , making me chuckle . She slaps my arm , leaving three red marks from her nails . I hiss at her , and give her my puppy eyes .

" Fionna , I don't want to distract a blood-thirsty vampire , I don't want to die ! Are you crazy , girl ? " I sigh as I lay on the ground , staring at the moon . " But , I'll do it for you and because I don't want to disappoint your boyfriend " She chuckles , gaining a kick from me . I hate when Cake teases or jokes around about Gumball being my boyfriend . I sit up and give her a reassuring hug , I know it's weird to distract a vampire but Gumball really needs this .
