You Make Me Feel Alive , Again .

Chapter Four : Vampire Bites .

Fionna's Point of View

" Fionna , are you okay ? " Gumball repeats himself for the fifth time in a row . Ever since we left the Vampire Kingdom , I've felt really strange . I've felt lost and confused , I'm so out of it right now . Gumball saw that I had a huge cut on my arm , caused by the guards and he immediately took care of it properly . Gumball is really worried about me , and he's apologized so many times . He knew that something like this would happen , so he blames himself for the way I've been acting .

" Gumball " I laugh , punching his arm softly " I told you , I'm fine . Just feeling a little lost , that's all " He looks at me , we're in the castle hospital , the nurses and doctors are taking care of me and Gumball is keeping me company . I'm not complaining , because I love spending time with Gumball and I love the way he talks . But , I can't help that I feel weird .

I love that Gumball is giving me all of his attention . Right now , he was supposed to go to a meeting but he ditched it to be with me . I don't like when he misses important stuff like that but he can tell that I need some company . I feel warm , I'm sweating and I feel dizzy ; I'm probably sick .

" Fionna , you look a little pale " He touches my forehead , and bites his lip . Something is wrong , he probably noticed that I have a little bit of a fever . He reaches into one of the cabinets near me and pulls out a tiny bottle that says ' cold medicine ' , he gives me a spoonful and I drink it with disgust . I've never liked medicine like that , I've always preferred pills . " That should do the trick . For now , you need to rest , okay ? " He pulls the covers over me and kisses my warm and sweaty forehead , he doesn't mind that I'm sick and it's so cute .

I close my eyes and I immediately drift off to sleep ..

- Fionna's Dream -

" Marshall .. " I whisper as he walks closer to me , placing his lips against my skin , sending shivers down my spine . He places kisses all over my neck , sending an unbelievable pleasure all throughout my body .

" I promise , I'll take good care of you . Now , lay down " He whispers as he slowly starts taking his clothes off . I can't help but to stare . I'm a human and this is what humans do , so I shouldn't feel bad . He approaches me , and slowly takes my shirt off . His touch is an addiction , I always thought that vampires would have rough skin , and it would be painful to touch them but Marshall is different .

I lay down like he asked me to , and he smiles at me . He lays down on top of me and smirks . We're both naked , I don't mind having sex with a vampire . I think it's sexier . I close my eyes as he digs his fangs into my neck , sucking some blood .

" Fionna , I want you . Right now "

- Fionna wakes up -

I wake up with an unexpected feeling all over my body . Even though it was a short dream , and I didn't get to finish it , it was so weird . I can't believe that I had a dream where I was having sex with a vampire , with Marshall , the Vampire King .

" Fionna , you feel better ? " I turn my face to my left and see Gumball sitting down . Did he really wait for me all this time ? I sit up and I feel stronger than last time . I was probably tired and dehydrated , I'm glad I feel better . I nod and smile , gaining a quick smile from Gumball .

I don't understand why I had that dream . I don't like Marshall , and it would be really weird to have sex with someone who tried to kill me . I shouldn't think too much of it , it's never going to happen . Besides , I'm never going to see him again so why should I waste my time thinking about him ?

" Fionna .. there's something I've been meaning to tell you-- " He gets cut off by a nurse coming into the room . The nurse has a worried expression on her face , causing me to worry . The nurse approaches Gumball , she whispers something in his ear and his smile disappears .

Gumball approaches me , moves my hair to the side , and looks at my neck . His eyes widen as he sees my neck . I don't know why they're looking at my neck , and I don't know why they're acting so weird " Um , can anyone tell me what the hell is going on ? " I say , feeling irritated by the way they're acting . I hate when people are so mysterious , hiding the truth from me . Just be honest with me , dude .

Gumball approaches me with a mirror , and I can tell that his hands are shaking . He gulps and shows me what the whole fuss is about ; there are two red dots on my neck .. They look like vampire bites , but that could mean ..

" What the fuck ? " I yell , touching the two dots softly . Tears fill my eyes , I don't want to turn into a vampire . Who did this to me ? " I don't remember any of this , I don't remember any vampire biting me ! " I cry softly , trying to open the vault in my mind .

All I remember was hanging out with a dark figure , then my world going black . Maybe someone knocked me out ? I don't know .. But , I don't want to be a vampire ! I like being human , I like being normal . I don't want to live my life in the dark , sucking blood ( or red ) for food .

" Gumball , I don't want to be a vampire .. " I cry , tears rolling down my cheeks . He hugs me tight and rubs my back , telling me that everything will be okay . He pulls away and wipes away my tears , and his hands turn into fists .

" Marshall did this , I know it ! That stupid son of a bitch , I hate him " Gumball walks away and sighs " I'm sorry , Fionna .. This is my fault . I knew Marshall was a bad guy , I shouldn't have told you to go to his kingdom . " Marshall did this .. That's probably why I felt so attracted to him , that's why I felt attracted to the moonlight and being in the dark . That explains my dream .

In my dream , I had sex with Marshall and I remember his fangs digging into my neck . So , did Marshall knock me out and have sex with me while I was unconscious ? I don't know , I don't want to turn into a vampire but I'm not angry . I don't hate Marshall for what he did , I'm calm and relaxed . It's probably the powers kicking in .

" Gumball , it's not your fault . Stop blaming yourself " I stand up , and I walk up to him . I cup his cheek and float up to kiss his forehead . Heh , I could get used to this whole ' vampire thing ' . He gasps as he sees me floating up , like a real vampire . " We just need to find Marshall , and he'll fix it , right ? " I laugh as I start flying all over the room . Who knew being a vampire was so much fun ?

" Fionna , get down from there . You're gonna get hurt ! " Gumball talks over me , but I ignore him . I'm having too much fun with this , these powers aren't going to be here for long so I'm enjoying them while I can . If I tell Gumball about my dream , he's going to be furious . He's going to declare war on the Vampire Kingdom or something extra like that , but that's because he cares so much about me .

- A Few Hours Later -

I convinced Gumball to let me go home . He wanted me to stay at the castle , so nothing bad would happen to me . I told him that I could defend and take care of myself . I'm stronger , faster and better now . Being a vampire isn't that bad . My fangs haven't come in , yet . That's the only part I don't like about this transition ; when my fangs come in , I'm going to have to eat blood or red stuff to survive .

Cake is terrified to come near me , she thinks I'm going to kill her . I told her that everything was going to be okay and that I would never kill her , even if I was hungry for blood .

" I'm going to sleep , goodnight " Cake yawns and waves goodbye .

" Goodnight , Cake . Don't let the vampire bite ! " I laugh as she runs away from me . I like teasing her , I like scaring her and seeing her reaction . It's hilarious when you think about it . I'm not going to sleep , yet . Vampires don't sleep at night , so I have to get used to it . Being a vampire isn't all bad , it's just really weird to get used to .

I'm in the living room , practicing my fighting skills . Being a vampire helps a lot . I'm faster , quicker movements , and I'm flexible . Being a vampire can really help my missions , it could be a whole lot easier .

I hear a sound coming from the roof . I stop and try to listen . It's raining , so it could be the raindrops hitting the roof .. but , raindrops aren't that heavy . I'm going to go check it out .

I don't need to go up the ladder , I can just fly to see what the problem is . I go out the window , and quickly fly up to the roof . I'm soaking wet from the rain but I don't mind . I look around for the source of the sound .

" Heh , so we meet again , huh ? "
