I've told you time and time again
I'm not as think as you drunk I am
And we all fell down
When the sun came up
I think we've had enough

Don't Threaten Me With a Good Time
by Panic! At The Disco

Embry climbs into bed, exhausted from his 24 hour patrol. Ridiculous in my eyes. "Wake me for food." He mumbles.

"Don't forget we're at my dad's tonight for dinner." I say softly as I begin to change into jeans and a green sweater.

He looks at me scowling. "I already said we'd go to the bonfire-"

"Yet again, you said." I mutter.

He sits up. "What's your problem?"

I sigh as I tie my hair up. "Nothing."

"Bullshit." He snaps. "All you do lately is moan and laze around. You won't touch me, you barely kiss me. You won't go anywhere with me."

I bite my tongue for a moment. Don't get mad, do not get mad. Oh shit, oh well. I scoff and let loose. "I'm always the one in the wrong. I'm sorry I can't just accept that your life revolves around the pack, but mine doesn't. I have a family to see, friends to hang out with. I'm tryna get a job, tryna find a way to provide for us. Not all of us are handed it easy by our council members or alpha. You can't make decisions for us without me just because it suits the pack. I will not let my life revolve around it; it may be the most important thing to you, but it isn't to me. It's ruining my life!" I yell before I grab my phone and keys, running out to the car.

I sit there for a moment and rest my head on the wheel; when I look up, I see Embry rush down the stairs shaking with anger. I immediately start the car and uturn out of there, speeding a little as I drive to dad's. I angrily wipe the traitor tears away on my long sleeves and tense my jaw - if I cry he wins. If I cry, he'll just worm his way back in and make me forget about everything for a while, he'll just sweep it under the rug.

I pull up at dad's and head inside, closing the door behind me. "Anyone home?" I call.

I hear laughter from the garden and head outside, putting my bag on the counter as I pass. I lean in the back doorway and smile when I see the boys wrestling in the muddy grass; it obviously rained over night.

"Oh my god." I laugh as they look over, covered in mud.

"Aubs!" Bae pushes Cooper aside and runs over.

I hold my hands in front of me. "No no no noooooo." I warn. "You can stay away till you're clean, Bailey Wren."

"Awh you sucks." He groans before he runs at Cooper. Cooper is far more covered in mud than Bae, only because Bailey has him pinned most of the time.
