It's the day after and Monday. I'm in a fight with Niall and it's Monday, how bad can your day be? I have to drag my arse out of bed and to school and with a lot of effort I manage to put a little bit of make up on to cover the dark circles under my eyes. Sure, the talk with Louis helped a lot but it's never nice to fall asleep with knowing that something is eating Niall up from the inside. There's no way I can help him if I don't know what's going on.

At school I take a seat next to Lucy, a girl I met a few weeks ago. She's a little older than I am, and very nice. She follows the exact same courses as I do. "Happy birthday, Luna!" She gives me a kiss on both of my cheeks and pushes a small gift in my hands. Fuck, it's my birthday.

"Ehm, thanks." I fake a smile as I open her gift. It's a small package of shower creams. "Don't tell me you've forgotten your birthday." She whines. She heard the doubt in my voice. "I did, I'm sorry. I always forget birthdays except mine but I just have a lot on my mind right now." I smile weakly and hug her as a thanks for the gift. I grab my books from my backpack and the lecture starts.

My thoughts keep drifting off to the familiar boy, Niall and the talk me and Louis had last night. It's all too much. "Hey, keep your head in the game. You can't afford to miss this." Lucy says, elbowing me. I roll my eyes at her. "Thanks, now I've got that High School Musical song stuck in my head." I remark sarcastically. You gotta getcha getcha getcha getcha head in the game. I'm gonna get my get my head in the game. You gotta getcha getcha- GODDAMN IT! Please my head is already driving me crazy and now I also have to have a stupid shit song in my head.

I sigh as I mutter a goodbye to Lucy and gather my book from the little table I sat at during the lecture. When I walk outside the rain is pouring. Seriously? Why does it always has to rain on my birthday? As I'm running towards my car, my phone starts buzzing in my pocket. I try to squeeze the phone out of the pocket of my tight jeans and quickly answer it.

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Luna! Happy birthday to you!" I hear the voice of my aunt, cousin and parents through the phone. I roll my eyes at the cheesy tradition. "Happy birthday darling!" My mum exclaims enthusiastically in the speaker. I literally have to keep the phone a few centimeters away from my ear to keep it from going deaf. "Thanks mum." I smile even though everything hurts. My parents are literally the sweetest people in this world. "I really have to go, it's pouring rain out here and I'd rather not have my phone getting wet." I speak fast as I try to end the conversation as soon as possible without sounding ungrateful.

I sit down in the drivers seat of my car when my phone buzzes a few times. Three texts. I open and reply to them one by one.

Harry: Heeeeeeeeyy Lun. Happy birthdayy you old person! Hope you're having a nice dayy .x

Luna: Thankyouuuuuu Harreh. Shut your mouth you're turning 20 in a few months ;) xx

Eleanor: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUNA! I'm sorry I'm not here today, I'm in Scotland with the parents. I would've taken you out if I was though. I'll take you out on Friday when I'm back, k? Big kiss xx

Luna: Thaannksss El! :( sad face I need you heree! Anyways, I'll take you up on that offer ;) xxx

Louis: Happy birthday love!! I'm coming over with cake this afternoon, invite some other friends. It will cheer you up. xx see you in a few! xx

Luna: Thanks, I will :) xx

Harry and his texts. I shake my head smiling at his. Eleanor is taking me out on Friday. It reminds me of the time we went out together for the first time, the one where I got lost and saw Niall in that dark alley. I feel pain in my chest as I think about him. I just miss Niall so much. I wish we could just hang out again. I don't even have to know what is going on right now. All I need is his arms around me, mine around him and his lips pressed to mine.
