"Why are you walking like an idiot?" Luke yelled out while kicking a soccer ball to Jameson.
"Because she got dicked real good!" Sam yelled back through cupped hands. I rolled my eyes while groaning in embarrassment. It's a public beach for fucks sake.
"I hate all of you. Why am I friends with any of you?" I questioned while scrubbing my hands over my face to try and hide my blush. It didn't hurt anymore but I guess I was still walking a little funny.
"Because we're basically obligated to spend time together." Finn said as he and Chris put an arm over each of my shoulders. God they must work out a lot, those are heavy ass arms. Okay, I knew they worked out a lot, I was there for most of it, but still.
"Doesn't mean I have to like you." I replied and laid out a blue towel when we reached the majority of the team. I wasted no time stripping down and laying down to tan. I put my sunglasses on and leaned back, all while watching Finn's eyes run over my body. I would fuck him if he weren't an asshole. Sucks to be him, I guess.
"Oh come on. You like all of us. We're the better choice. Especially compared to the girls team." Finn snorted and sat down in the sand on my right. He pulled off his shirt and tossed it aside. His bent knees were in front of his chest, wresting his arms on them.
"What do you mean?" I asked while raising an eyebrow. Despite the fact that I was laying down, he was at just the right angle for me to watch him.
"The girls team?" I nodded. He let out an amused huff if air. "The girls varsity team? God, they all hate each other. The only time they can stand each other is when they're high. Which is all the time actually, so maybe they do get along." He joked with a twinkle in his eye before sobering up. "But no. Seriously, they're all on something at any given point in time. But it's just this years batch. It's not usually like that." Finn said and stretched his arms over his head before leaning back on his elbows and flattening he legs out in front of him.
Chris and Sam had joined the soccer game by now, leaving Finn and I alone on this portion of sand. Here we are, having a nice civil conversation. I tried to convince myself that it was because he had a change of heart but I knew it was only because we were alone. Guaranteed we won't be getting along this time on monday. He was so confusing. Regardless, I keep the conversation going. I enjoyed our time together when he was nice.
"You know what I realized yesterday?"
"That Anthony's basically an snapping turtle?"
I couldn't help but snort unattractively at that one. "No. I realized I don't know literally anyone but this team and Al."
"Why is that a problem?" He asked curiously. By now his head was rested on someone's drawstring bag because he was to lazy to take out a towel. His ankles were crossed and his fingers laced together over his abs.
"What if I want to hang out will other people?"
"You won't. Trust me, we're your best options." He answered cockily but dead serious at the same time.
"And what makes you think that?"
"Here's how I see it, and barewith me. I know you're a little slow sometimes." I reached out and flung my arm at him. I'm guessing by the sound and the feeling of my broken hand, I had hit his chest pretty hard. "God, woman! I'm breakable!" He exclaimed as his chest contracted in shock before relaxing again. "Anyway, you've been here for two months. We've been here for 17 years. I think we know who is worth hanging out with."
